And Here's Beyonce's Video For "Countdown"
If Stanley Donen directed an American Apparel commercial starring an Audrey Hepburn impersonator he bought off of Craigslist, it might look like Beyonce's video for "Countdown." One second it's Funny Face, then it's a Wrigley's commercial, then it's an Old Navy commercial, then it's Bye Bye Birdie, then it's like a Gap Khakis ad come to life. Basically, this video is homage-ing from every one of its video pores. And Beyonce's face twitches tell me that her unborn golden child is kicking so damn hard that it's sending vibrations up her spinal cord to her brain. If that isn't a baby's way of saying "have a seat," then I don't know what is.

And WTF is with casting new actresses and entertainers to play old, charming ones, like Marilyn and Audrey? neither Michelle Williams or Beyonce does either of those women justice. Its almost like defacing a classic work of art with spray paint.

I have to agree with MissThang (and everybody else). Her music just seems to be getting worse. I guess if she continues at this rate it will just reach a dead end. I didn't mind the video, though.
Also, yeah, the pregnancy thing. It was annoying as soon as it was "announced"--bitch knew she didn't have to say anything. She would get all the attention of the night as soon as she framed her "bump" with her hand. Funny that that would happen on the night MTV was paying tribute to Britney.
Seriously, though, even if that baby takes after Beyonce as much as possible, there's pretty much no way it's not going to be at least a little ugly. Jay-Z is straight-up fug--there's no way around that. At least Beyonce will never have to worry about a potential daughter being more beautiful than she is.

The songs sucks (as do the rest of Beyonce's songs) and the video is retarded. I love the Bye Bye Birdie reference. Her one outfit reminded me of my costume during telephone hour ("going steady, going steady!"). Seriously though, who the FUCK told Beyonce that she could dance? Her moves are spastic.
