Unsolved Mysteries: Why Was A Top Model All-Star Disqualified?
(Read this entire post in Robert Stack's voice if you need some added dramatic intrigue in your life this morning.) Tyra Banks owes everybody who sat through endless hours of America's Next Top Model Not-At-All-Stars a refund for explaining absolutely nothing in that slow-motion car crash of a finale. It was down to Angelea, the 716 beauty who was my personal favorite (because she works in a bank which makes her professional), Allison, the albino meerkat and Lisa who was probably the inspiration for the character of Kit De Luca in Pretty Woman.
The episode went through the usual motions. They had a CoverGirl photo shoot where Allison looked like Jessica Alba seeing for the first time (yes, I sat through The Eye and I'm not proud of it). Then they had the final runway show in Greece which had the production values of the Miss Eternia beauty pageant I held on my garage floor when I was a kid (Catra won every time). At this point, they were supposed to cut to the judging panel in Greece and show us who won that shit. That didn't happen. Instead, we were back in L.A. and Nigel explained that Angelea was disqualified, so they had to choose a winner between Lisa and Allison. Lisa (the 45-year-old Mob Wives reject on the left) won the CoverGrandma contract and the spread in Vogue Abuelita. The CW issued this statement shortly after the mess of a finale aired:
"After production wrapped on the current cycle of America's Next Top Model, we learned information that made Angelea ineligible and she was subsequently disqualified from the competition. As a result, new scenes were filmed to address this for the audience during the finale."
It's obvious that Angelea won and due to reasons unknown (MYSTERY!!!), her crown was snatched away and given to the runner-up. There's rumors on Twitter that Angelea violated the show's rules by bragging about her victory on Facebook shortly after the season started airing. But Rich at FourFour, my sage when it comes to all things Top Model, thinks something in the milk ain't clean. There's no evidence that Angela leaked the final 3 and he thinks if that was the case, Tyra would've humiliated that bitch on camera for ratings. I don't know what to believe. But I do believe that Angelea doesn't need that stupid shit. Angelea is going places (one of those places being her pied-à-terre in Port Authority).
Besides, in the insane asylum in Tyra's head, she doesn't see Angelea or Lisa as the winner of America's Next Top Model All-Stars. Tyra sees TYRA as the ultimate All-Star.
Most of the girls that "win" don't even get modeling jobs. Lisa looks like a crack-head with that collapsed nose and Angelea looks like she came straight our of Compton. Allison, on the other hand, will probably have a career in modeling.
the funniest thing in my opinion is that i have seen lisa in at least 3 other "reality shows", which tells me she isn't as passionate about modeling as she is about making money..... this whole "reality show" industry really sucks...
Allison should have won hands down. A top model should be a visually memorable looking model. If you saw Allison in an ad or a spread you would know immediately who she is. One would never be able to find Lisa in an ad. I agree Lisa looks very old and worn yet they never brought that up the way they did to other models in the past. Bravo to Lisa for staying sober and I LIKE her, but Allison should have won. Allison used to sell her art on eBay btw, but not sure about right now. Whitney has a website for men who want to date heavy women... something like that plus I've seen her in Penny's plus size catalogs.

Can't believe we the viewers got cheated out of a glorious finale of Tyra shaming Angelea for whatever it is she did. It would have been the best episode of the whole season. Wonder if Angelea would have started hyperventilating like Brittany/Autumn last cycle when she got chewed out by the panel for being a bitch. Good times, good times.

^ You're on to something here....Angelea got knocked up by Tyson Beckford, Tyra went INSANE (short drive) w/jealousy (whose finger will Tyra suck on now?) and disqualified Angelea. Tyra was also jealous of the big-eyed, alluring (notice how Game LOVED Allison?) and intelligent Allison, so Ty-Ty decided to crown the leathery piece of haggis aka Lisa as ANTM's All-Star winner.
Sounds likely to me.
Thank god Angelea didn't win. She should never have even made it past the first few rounds. Disaster!

That's nice to know. Allison seemed quite intelligent. It's good that she's got other talents to fall back on.
That might have played against her in the end. I could see the show giving the final win to Lisa (who is really too old to model) because she probably relies on this reality tv stuff to make a living.

Creep Chan is also a very accomplished artist and photographer. I have also read a lot of very interesting things about her, and she is well read and is very unique, which personally I like.
Her love of nose bleeds freaks me out, but her art and personality are pretty cool. I used to read a blog she did and it was full of really interesting and funny posts.
She just needs to ditch the ANTM schtick and do her own thing. She is WAAAAY too cool for ANTM.

The winner is selected, the winner sees the contract they have to sign (which may state they aren't getting some of the prizes that they were promised if they did win.), the winner says "No Deal", so another person is selected.

I think if it was a manufactured scandal for the show, more would have been done to milk it. They just offhandedly announced that she was disqualified. There wasn't the big, dramatic reveal after the commercial break or a confrontation or anything.

You know what I think? (Becuz , YES, this shit is important to me)...The winner is never really the winner becuz they get locked into Top Model hell and being attached to that is real ACTUAL career suicide.
