Matt Damon campaigned hard for Obama during the last election, but don't expect to see his ass at an Obama rally this time around, because all love is lost between the two. Matt tells Elle in so many words that he has broken up with Obama, and then he threw a whole lot of ice cold shade at our current president. Here's today's edition of "Movie Stars Talking Politics Talk!":
"I've talked to a lot of people who worked for Obama at the grassroots level. One of them said to me, ‘Never again. I will never be fooled again by a politician...'You know, a one-term president with some balls who actually got stuff done would have been, in the long run of the country, much better. If the Democrats think that they didn't have a mandate—people are literally without any focus or leadership, just wandering out into the streets to yell right now because they are so pissed off. Imagine if they had a leader."
Fooled by a politician? Who ever said that shit must be new here. It's okay, I too just learned to not put your trust into some politicians. But I learned this while watching an episode of 90210 where Congresswoman Brandy betrayed Silver by leaking that video of Teddy's gay wedding. Yes, I just admitted that I'm one of the only hos who still watch 90210. You can decide whether or not that's more embarrassing than Matt's Christmas vest.

The Republicans have decided to not work in any way with this particular president. The level of obstruction is unprecedented. The plan from the beginning was to refuse to work with him and then say 'look he didn't get anything done!'. I, for one, recognize the game the Republicans tried to play, and I will NOT be rewarding them for it. If Matt doesn't want to acknowledge the obstruction, that's his problem. I most certainly will be using my vote in 2012 and it will be to vote for Obama again.
Obama is worse because he sold himself on the idea that things would change, but he continued many of the same policies of the Bush administration, especially war-mongering and decimating our civil rights. People need to vote for the person they believe in and not pick from two flavors of the same Kool-Aid.

I think it's so unfair to say that Obama has done NOTHING...I mean nothing. Look I'm not a repub or dem...I voted for who I thought would be the better of the two candidates and Obama was the better choice and he will continue to be the better choice if he has to go up against Newt, Mitt, or Rick. All of those men are poor choices, if you truly look at the politics that they will be pushing.
This is my last comment on this subject but honestly do you REALLY think that we would be in better place with McCain/Palin running the country???? I thinks not. When gays were given the right to freely serve in the military McCain stormed out of the preceeding like a bratty kids...THIS is what he gets truly peeved about.
