Blind Items: I Guess, You Guess
It turns out this allegedly innocent NFL quarterback might not be so innocent after all. One of his admirers and fellow celebrity was overheard bragging the other day that she had no problems getting the quarterback into bed. (CDAN)
Tim Tebow? And the whole "one of his admirers" thing has pushed me right into Sarah Palin's name! Exhibit: A! But it's not what you think. They were just praying with their elbows on the mattress while wearing footie pajamas with the butt flap firmly buttoned.
What rising TV talk-show co-host – who has finally landed her own gig on a major network – is down in the dumps because she’s fallen for a high-profile politico who bats for the other team? Her career may be on the upswing, but her love life is still in the dugout! (National Enquirer via Blind Gossip)
Chelsea Handler and Barney Frank? Or Gayle King and Condi Rice?
This foreign born A list television star from a very hit network show has always come across as Mr. loving husband despite being separated by distance. Perhaps he should spend a little more time focusing on the Mrs and not the hookers he goes through by the dozens or hitting on fellow cast members. (CDAN)
Hugh Laurie? But we need to leave him alone. Everybody knows that absence (and hooker pussy) makes the heart grow fonder.
Which famous yo-yo dieter plumped up to become the spokesperson for a popular weight-loss program? The singer/actress was in dire need of a quick career boost – and the high-profile campaign was the best way to get back in the limelight to create some buzz for her planned career comeback! (National Enquirer via Blind Gossip)
Jessica Simpson? But this is a good thing, because somebody needs to eat sweetened lard cake with corn syrup frosting now that Paula Deen can't.

I call wishful thinking on the Tim Tebow blind item because no celebrity worth her salt would keep that front page story a secret from the public.
Or leave the room without taking pictures on her cell phone which could be accidentally hacked.

Are you kidding me? First of all, I didn't blame Tebow for quality of the Fox announcers. Secondly, just because I'm tired of hearing about God and this guy's religion at SECULAR sporting events, I'm a bad person? Keep drinking that Kool-Aid. All us heathens are BAD PEOPLE who couldn't possibly donate to charity and volunteer. We don't care about other people just because we're tired of one narrow religious viewpoint being tied to football which has nothing to do with religion. And before you give me the first amendment speech, I didn't say he doesn't have a right, I just said it's annoying.
THANK YOU. You've said what I wanted to say so much better than I could have.
The level of "Christian" self-righteousness and narrow-mindedness ("THERE AREN'T ANY OTHER RELIGIONS BUT MY TRUE CHRISTIANITY YOU HEATHEN") on this thread is frightening. But on a happier note, it's what making the moronic Republican presidential candidates tear out each other's throats these days.
The singer/actress weight loss is Janet Jackson.
Exhibit A:
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/01/03/weight-loss-ads-new-bla...
whether he is or not, hugh laurie isn't really "known" as a loving husband, i think the blind written to imply him as a diversion.
seems like whenever the clue has been "foreign born" in the past, it's obscure.
JHud looks good and all, but without the Spanx she'd be barging out of those dresses.
Anyone ever heard of O.J.? He was a faultless phony too…
I wouldn't be at all surprised if it was Hugh Laurie
was sleeping around. He has a history of cheating. He has been very hot for awhile and I am sure all kinds of women have thrown themselves at him. My husband and I have talked about how odd it was that his wife is never around considering he has screwed around on her in the past.

Meh, I concur with your statement. Tebow is a fresh breath of air and I hope he stays that way.
As long as his behavior does not encourage politians to go on a rant about how gays are evil simply because of the beliefs of a football player.

You know, I get really tired of people on here bashing others for believing in a particular religion. If someone is HAPPY being a Christian and talks about it, what is it to some of you? Tim Tebow isn't telling anyone "believe as I do", he is just proud of his beliefs.
The people always railing against religion are every bit as bad as the people who are always railing against not believing, yet none of you see that.
Live and let live, and unless Tebow is knocking on your door, telling you that you are the devil, I wouldn't worry about it.
None of you seen to have trouble with football players who rape, murder, do drugs, spend time with prostitutes and beat on women, but OMG! Tim Tebow needs to be stopped! Please!
Yeah, yeah, I am being a bitch, and I suck, and obviously am a religious zealot. Fuck you Cupcake, ya bitch.

Why can't people keep their fucking religious delusions to themselves? If you constantly have to remind everyone what a GOOD XIAN you are, you must not have a lot of confidence in yourself or your religion.
As I remember my third-grade catechism, beaten into me by a psychotic nun, the Pharisees were always telling everyone how good and wonderful they were, and all the while cheating everyone.

No, it was directed at everyone who was all up Tebow's tailpipe for his faith.
Look, I am not here to start a fight but I do find it interesting that people go after him for something that isn't negative or toxic. People always seem to feel threatened when confronted with someone whose faith is strong and they have the courage to live the way the bible tells us to.

Well, there will always be celebrity scandal. We can't change that. And I'm the first one in line to slam BloHan for her revolting behavior and appearance. LOL! That right there proves I have a long way to go on my own Walk because the bible says we're not to judge others. I said to one of our pastors (more like whined), "But it's Lohan and she's a celebrity so she's fair gaaaaaame!". But he wasn't playing that. Booooo! We don't get to pick and choose what we obey and what we don't, although almost everyone does it.
I read where Kim K was forced to sit with BloHan at one of the GG after-parties because no one wanted to speak to either of them.
The "goodie two-shoes" can definitely be fun, no doubt, but to most people it gets a yawn.
Who is Alton Brown? I shall google him.

Then we have no one to blame for the way our media act but us. The moment scandelous pictures of Blohan and Kim K are no longer profitable, is the day those folks will fade away. (I'm trying to find a link to an article that says this is already happening to the Kardashians. It's somewhere on the Yahoo website)
Personally, I think some of the goodie two shoes are "fun". We just need to support them more.
(I vote for Alton Brown. I never hear nothing bad about this guy and I would do him in a heart beat)

Oh, sure. That's true for any group. There are definitely people who claim to be Christians but don't actually practice it. Hellooooooooo Jimmy Swaggart! Yuck.
But IMO the reason we don't (as a society) root for people who are decent and hard-working is because they're not "fun". From a publicity standpoint, there are no scandals, no dirt, and no paparazzi shots of them coming out of clubs with their pants on backwards. It's a shame that people like the Kardashians and BloHan are idolized and the Tebows are looked upon as freaks.

And if more people would root for decent minded people like Tebow, we wouldn't have to put up with crap like the Kardashians. Now that really would be something I'd like to see.

True, but Tebow is being ripped to shreds precisely because he is NOT like the others. He doesn't have anything to be picked on for so people go after his faith. Why do people see someone who is a practicing Christian and go ballistic with derision if not downright hate? If Tebow was an Orthodox Jew, would these same people act like this? No. They wouldn't. But Tebow is a Christian so they nail him. It's just ludicrous.

"...We're so jaded in this society...".
Dog, for the most part I co-sign on your opinion in this thread. However, reading some of the snark on this site, who do we blame for much of the jadedness in this society?
Personally, I think Tebow is a breath of fresh air. No baby mama drama, no outragous flashes of bling and car and shit. No pictures of him in the club drinking loads of booze and surrounded by cocktail waitresses. *gives a side-eye to Tiger Woods*
However, let a decent looking "star" get posted here and if they don't match some level of percieved perfection, they get ripped to shreds. There (in part) is where some of this jadeness comes from.

Exactly. Who do we want our kids to look up to? Football players with little to no education who have several kids with several different women (and don't marry any of them), who stumble out of clubs ass-wasted, who carry weapons (and manage to shoot themselves with them), and whose behavior in general is revolting, crass and rude? Or Tim Tebow?

As long as someone doesn't force their beliefs on to me, I'm totally cool with whatever they believe. I agree with DOG, sometimes there really are just good people in the world, and that's really hard for everyone to accept. Why is that? I don't think we should idolize ANYONE... and I think the media has created this circus because frankly, it sells-- for now. Then the media will grow tired of Tebow and cast him aside. But come on... in a world that glamorizes the Kardashians, is Tebow a bad thing? Nope. But train wrecks and bad people are more interesting in this culture. So the Kardashians and people like them will always be around, unfortunately.

Tebow's holiness is completely cynical and exhibitionistic. Real Christians don't need to trumpet their devotion far and wide, unless they're televangelists - which I suppose Tebow is, after a fashion. His saintliness is fueled by a desire for attention, which then translates into money.
^^^^^^^^^^^
He doesn't trumpet anything. Your ignorance is a great example of why people think badly of him. HE doesn't trumpet anything; the fans and the sportscaster and the media do. And real Christians most certainly do trumpet their devotion far and wide. People want to say we're fanatics and we are - fanatics for Jesus. Nothing wrong with that. It's not the True Believers who try to convert people and roll around on the floor, BTW. That's the Evangelicals who are different from the Pentecostals and the Charismatics. Tebow is a True Believer. And all he wants to do is exercise his right to pray and to live his life according to the Word. He has never compared himself to a saint. Another misconception you are buying into. True Believers don't believe in saints. The First Commandment says "You shall have no other gods before me...You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. You shall not bow down to them or worship them...". Saints are a Catholic ideology. And if you think he is asking for attention by praying, you're wrong. He doesn't seek the cameras when he prays. THEY seek HIM, and he isn't ashamed to let people see him doing it. Until you really have your facts straight, don't make assumptions about ALL Christians. It doesn't make us look bad but it does make YOU look ignorant! :-)
