Blind Items: I Guess, You Guess

She’s off her meds, and it’s not good. She has returned to the very behavior that got her into so much trouble in the first place, including the drugs and the alcohol and the self-harming.

It’s almost surreal to hear her spout absolute bullshit about being healthy and happy and sober when she is exactly the opposite. In fact, just a week ago she was out at some madhouse of a bar, drunk off her ass, doing multiple shots and snorting coke in the bathroom.

Let’s cut to the chase, and get more direct: Look, we know that you and your friends are reading this. It is absolute madness for you to think that this will end well. You are a beautiful and talented girl, but you ARE going to lose your fans and your career and probably your life if you keep this up.

Remember how upset one of your siblings was when someone picked on them? Do you realize how much more emotionally destroyed they would be if you actually died? You should think about that, because that is exactly where you are heading right now. We don’t care if you lie to people about what your problems are. We don’t care if you pretend that you are going on vacation. Just get yourself back into rehab (or treatment, if it makes you feel better to call it that), and get well. Now. (Blind Gossip)

DAMN. Am I the only who got shades of Tyra's melodramatic WE WERE ALL ROOTING FOR YOU speech? I need a shot of coke and a line of booze after reading that. I'm not even a cutter or a snorter (only neti pot water) and I feel like maybe I need to check into rehab.

This is probably about Demi Lovato, and yeah, she should probably disembark from the Lohan Express at the next station.

Which B list celebrity couple who have been together for a while, has an open marriage where they ‘trade spouses’ with this C list actress married to a B list musician? (BuzzFoto)

B list couple = Goldie Hawn & Kurt Russell?
C list actress and B (even though he's an A) list musician: Trudie Styler & Sting?

All those kinky freaks like to OM through their genitals until they bust out dry orgasms.

Which squeaky-clean actor’s drug habit is so bad, he’s starting to get a reputation and be passed over for big roles? (Page Six)

Topher Grace!

This former almost A list R&B singer who is still gorgeous, but has not had a hit in awhile and has been in this space before has been the go to person for when this married A+ rapper who has also been in this space before has needed to relax for the past few months because his celebrity wife does not want to help him relax. Is it any surprise that everyone thinks her next album will do really well. I guess she is taking very good care of him. (CDAN)

Ashanti & Jay-Z?

It's gotta be Demi Lovato. E!Online just posted an article that she's rumored to be back in rehab. Kind of funny - 2 days - 2 different Demi's in rehab...

Ashanti has never been beautiful. Take off that lace-front and what you have is an Ewok.

So she is NOT Item #4.

Exactly! She is a pig in every sense of the word to me. Totally overrated and can't fucking sing.

Hmmmm..... No. 1 Kelly Osborne!!???

Hey Salacious:

It sounds weird, but it has been done for centuries.

Because the nasal passages and the throat are connected, you are basically sniffing the water in and then spitting it out, and cleaning the area of mucus and stuff that would normally be draining and dripping in the background.

As a singer, I had a product I'd use that has salt and menthol-ish stuff and herbs, and I would just pour a little into my palm, sniff it up, and spit it out while in the shower. It made a huge difference. It stings a little but after your sinuses are clear.

I was coming back from work today and for some reason I remembered that story about the woman who died because she used a neti pot with contaminated tap water.

I would never willingly snort water, why is it cool to do it now?

I know this isn't a neti pot thread *officially*, but:

you can always mix some salt water up in a glass, and , when you are in the shower, pour a little into your palm and snort it up like a MAN.

I do it pretty religiously when I'm singing.

Sadly neither bill is dead yet - SOPA is merely on hold until February, and PIPA will be voted on next week.

If 2 people die from using a Neti pot, and 100 million people worldwide use Neti pots, I think the odds are good that you won't die using a Neti pot.

Neti pot for life.
Mmm...pot.

*******

Yeah, agree.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this, cuz I'm too lazy to scroll through the thread, but the people who died from using a neti pot, used regular tap water instead of distilled water. There was an organism in the water which is harmless if swallowed but causes a problem if it gets into your brain tissue. It was introduced to their brains through their nasal passages. So, it wasn't the neti pot to blame.

At least that's my layman's description, after reading about it on a medical site.

Team Neti.

If I am using one it's because I have a sinus infection, so I'm adding tea tree oil and hydrogen peroxide to the salt water. If that doesn't kill the germs, I throw up my hands. You can't worry about every remote possibility or you'll end up a paranoid recluse.

I find neti pots almost as disgusting as my tap water*. When I asked my GP if she used/would use a neti pot, she said "NO." I'll stick with quaifenesin, thanks.

*If I won't drink it, I'm sure as hell not stuffing it up my nose!

**************************************************

No offense, but GPs do not know squat about sinus and or throat issues. They are notorious for not treating that crap accurately. If you are someone who is plagued with terrible issues, your best bet is an ENT (otolaryngologist). They will effectively treat it. The first thing ANY of those docs will tell you is that nsal rinsing is good for colds or some other issue. Many docs even say just to do it for awhile - not the entire time. I only do it frequently because I have to.

Plus, neti pots are not my favorite. They are traditionally not as effective as the Neil Med bottle and or irrigator machines. They are ok for awhile, but not recommended for long-term use.

Two people didn’t die from using a Neti pot, they died from putting tap water up their nose that had not been boiled beforehand. Products are to be only used as directed, if not whatever happens happens.

My situation got so bad that I ended up in the hospital with an abscessed tonsil.

***************

have you ever had a tonsil stone? My guess is you have since you have tonsil issues. I am plagued and they are fucking disgusting.

If not, Google that shit then barf up your lunch.

************************************************************

I have had many. Those little buggers are called "tonsiliths". I know exactly what they are - a friggin pain in the rear. I have had them removed in the doc office, and it SUCKED.

The best way to treat those? Three options:

1. Tonsil removal - GOOD luck. I cannot convince my doc to do it. I do not get tonsilitis very often, so they refuse.

2. Gargle with water or a drink after you eat (also, gargle with salt water - best way): This does release some food that gets stuck in the "crypts" (grooves) of the tonsils.

3. Tonsil Rinser - AWESOME! I have a Grossan Nasal Irrigator, which has a throat rinser attachment. You shoot water in the back of the throat, where it hits the tonsil. Then, it rinses any loose food or calms an irritated tonsil. It works. I have not had a tonsilith since then.

Also, my $.02 on neti pots: they are awesome. Since phlegm production is a snowballing process (something gets stuck to the mucus, which causes more mucus production from the irritation, which traps more foreign matter, etc.), thinning it out helps break the stuffy cycle, especially during allergy season. I used bottled distilled water, though, because my tap water scares the crap out of me.

----------------------------------------------
Too weird to live; too rare to die.

**************************************************

You are totally correct. It is amazing what too much phlegm can do. The sinus infections I have had have made me wish for a swift and peaceful death. The pain one gets from one of those things is horrific. My poor mother had one over the Christmas holidays, and the inflammation actually reaches here eyes. This causes a condition called iritis, which is a nasty inflammation of the eyes. It can cause pain, blurred vision, and other issues. Sinus problems can cause so much havoc in a person's life. Many people think it is nothing, but it has ruined many aspects of my life.

Spaz de la Whoreta's picture

warmjuice - thank you, I haven't used my neti pot in a year or more, and after hearing about the amoeba situation, I'd never use water that wasn't boiled and of course, sufficiently cooled.

I'm guessing stomach acid kills the amoeba.
-------------------------------------------------------

No, because you are somewhat snorting water. The water sites up there and can create a brain disease that kills within weeks. Neti pots are only to be used with water that was been boiled, tap water is dangerous for the upper sinuses

Personally, I don't give a rat's ass about any of these former Disney, tweeny stars. They have little if any talent and can all OD and die for all I care. Talentless twats with too much money. Fuck 'em if they can't handle their drug(s) of choice. Amateurs.

Bizzarelife's picture

To answer questions here, let me explain:

When a person has allergic rhinitis (allergies that affect the nose), sinus irrigation is the best treatment (in addition to medicine). It cleans all the crap out of the nose. I do this in order to be able to breathe. However, I am an extreme case. My situation got so bad that I ended up in the hospital with an abscessed tonsil. Sinusitis is a chronic disease that can affect all systems of the body. I have been hospitalized for respiratory issues as well - all relating to allergies and sinusitis. Irrigation allows for better breathing and cleaner sinsuses.

I was using tap water myself for FIVE years. It is just an isolated incident that came from a different body of water. Better safe than sorry.

NOW, as far as what water do you use, you always use distilled or boiled. You can ingest the water because the digestive system breaks down many different types of bacteria.
