In Case You Missed It, Obama Sings!!!
At a fundraiser at the Apollo in Harlem last night, President Obama serenaded the audience with a few musical drops of Al Green's "Let's Stay Together" (which is what Fuckery sings to Michele Bachmann every morning while Marcus Bachmann's no-no sings another Al Green classic "Tired of Being Alone" to him). This is one of those times when we should all put our political views to the side (I'm registered as a Lucitetarian, as in Shauna, by the way) and agree that Obama can sing, but none of that really counts because he didn't rub that tree stump at the beginning. Just because he's president and shit doesn't mean he can't follow the rules of the Apollo (aka the rules of life).
I think we can also agree that it's best I don't send this to my mom or even talk to her about it, because I get a little closer to full-on deafness when she uses the words "chonies" and "drop" in the same sentence.

People who say Obama sucks or both sides are bad have no idea what responsibility is; there has been a systematic dumbing down of Americans and now we can really see it. Years ago I was another “its all evil” person until I studied the nuts and bolts of it and realized how I played a part. Hopefully over time people will see the forest from the trees, it took me about a year..and surrounding myself around people who were less dramatic

I am voting for Obama again for many reasons. The first being just that: give him time to fix everything that fell apart. Rome wasn't built in a day. He's trying. The Repubs are BLOCKING everything he is trying to do because they just want him out.
I don't agree on any of the stances of any of the current Republican candidates. My views most align with Obama's. I wish more people would understand the key issues, figure out where these people stand on the key issues, and vote accordingly. Instead they just say "anybody is better than Obama" but can't even explain why.

well, in all fairness, Clinton had his hand in it as well...believe he and Greenspan facilitated a lot of the deregulation that resulted in the sub prime debacle.
point being that the current situation is the result of the misaction of several presidents over several decades, but imo, was acutely exacerbated by Bush and his credit card wars.
there's a whole lot that needs to change before there can be any hope of long term prosperity...and it even includes health care reform, as health care costs have bankrupted countless individuals and families. not to mention if you don't have health, you don't have much...including the ability to pursue prosperity. it also includes education, which is woefully lacking at the elementary through high school level, even at the best schools. our steady diet of shit TV doesn't help matters.
but truly, jobs are created through innovation. if we do not adapt to to a global economy that pits people against people, as opposed to previous times when it was nations against nations, we will not survive. how can we innovate if we're stupid and sick?

As far as I remember, there was FAR less of a political uproar while Georgie Jr. was stuttering his way through the presidency and causing total havoc.
