Hugh Grant Likes His Daughter Okay
Hugh Grant (or "Dayum That Bitch Got Old" as you're calling him right now) accidentally made a baby with Chinese actress Tinglan Hong (Tinglin' Dong would be a really good porn name, by the way) last year and he hasn't really talked about his 6-month-old daughter Tabitha, because he's been too busy deciding if he likes her or not. It's good to know that he does! Hugh told The Guardian (via People) that he likes Tabitha and he likes her so much that he's not going to set up a trust fund for her. Oh, Hugh, you've officially transformed into your About a Boy character:
On being a father to a baby: "Lots of people warned me [that] the baby period is not that exciting. But I am excited, actually. I thought, well, I'll bluff through — but very little bluffing has been required."On if he thinks his daughter is an asshole or not: "I like my daughter very much. Has she changed my life? I'm not sure. Not yet. Not massively, no. But I'm absolutely thrilled to have had her, I really am. And I feel a better person."
On why he won't let his daughter become a trustafarian: "I see nothing but fuck-ups among my trust-fund friends. It's like 99% fuck-ups. So I would not want to do that to my children, no."
So many people slobber on and on about how perfect their babies are, and how their perfect babies shit perfect shits and are perfect this, perfect that, perfect, perfect, perfect. So it's kind of refreshing that Hugh says in a British way that if his daughter had a Facebook page, he might like it if he was under the influence or feeling charitable. But about that trust fund thing...
I'd be pissed off if my dad was in Did You Hear About the Morgans? and I couldn't even use my trust fund money to buy a $2,000 Hermes scarf to hide my embarrassment in. Well, at least if Tabitha ever needs cash and Hugh refuses to give it to her, she can use the line: "How do you expect me to pay my rent? Sell my ass on the corner of Sunset and Courtney?"

Seriously? He needs to grow up and if he wants to continue this promiscuous lifestyle, he needs to wear a rubber. What is WRONG with this man? And now he's ugly. He must have one hell of a personality. He has had quality women and long-term relationships in the past, but now his dick falls into some wanna-be model and this becomes his first foray into fathering. Puh-leeze. If here were 25 I could forgive him, but another stupid decision involving women? Sex?
This prick is not aging well. He's too busy spending his Notting Hill wad o cash on blow and hookers to worry about a trust fund.
what's not to like? he probably doesn't even see that baby all that often...

He really isn't a bad guy but he wants his child to have privacy.
No, he's not gay. He seems to really like women.
So this is what "boyish" looks like when it finally hits the wall. Good to know.
If you read the whole article, the whole taking on the press, gov't,police did a number on him. That's when he started to age.
My mom swears he's gay. What do y'all think?
"I like my daughter very much." Said with a British accent is the best line I've heard in a long time!

hahaha right? it's kinda refreshing! at least he's real unlike many folks who are "over the moon" at first and then become shitty parents.

He's is soo right, here!
Love that he is not fighting the growing older gracefully by dying his hair some god awful colour or plumping his lines with juvederm. I think he still looks quite dashing and I also like his personality...he really does not care if people like him or not. I am not feeling that he doesn't want the child from what he said either...he just sounds kinda normal to me and not putting on some fawning and drooling over babies nonsense show to overcompensate.
Thanks fuck we women go through menopause. I want to spend my golden years happily stoned watching A & E and writing dirty novels, not changing shitty diapers.

I honestly have no clue as to how I'd react.
I'm sorry but the Brits obsession with accents is sooooo stupid. Who cares!
I meet many English people in my travels who are so much fun to hang out with, but at some point the discussion will turn to accents. So annoying. Again, who cares!

I wish more actors and actresses would allow themselves to grow old and haggard naturally.
I bet his trust fund "friends" are delighted that he referred to them as fuckups!
He doesn't want to give his own daughter enough money so she can sit around and do nothing but he's done exactly that for the actress he knocked up so why not his own kid. Why does he care if his daughter doesn't have a career? Is being an actor so very worthwhile and important?

Nope.

He knows it, too. I saw him on the Graham Norton Show, and he was talking about his posh accent and way of speaking. He said that it gets worse when he's annoyed. Hmmmmmm. Bet he was annoyed with the interviewer.
^^^^^
It may be posh but it isn't blue blood. Not an upper class accent.
-----------------------------------
No but it is not overly posh either. He is well spoken but I don't think he wants to sound like the Queen. I like his voice. Nowt wrong with a bit of a posho accent. As for asking if he can sound more like a Pom? Well.. he is one.
OH WHAMISH!
I am still fertile as can be. I'm all estrogen! Let's fake run away and I'll give you a fake baby!

I figured someone was going to say that I understand and agree with you to an extent but whether you do in fact "suck it up" it still doesn't change a persons mind set, it is what it is. lol!
For 52, he doesn't look bad. He still has a full head of hair.
As for the baby issue, he should of got snipped. Now its too late so deal with it.
Speaking of babies,

My boyfriend is a trustfund kid and he us a massive fuckup. Although- so is his sister and she is a very motivated, ambitious, educated person so I guess it depends on the individual. I totally get what he is saying tho, his kid will have the best education money can buy, and no doubt a big house or 2. The rest is up to her. HandIng someone a five figure annual pocket money fir sitting on their ass sniffing coke is really not a great motivator.

Whamo, do you regret never having kids or would you have "liked" to?!
============================================
Not having kids is one of my biggest regrets Ms Fury. I really wish I would have had the courage when I was at a "good age"
I've been close to being married but I knew myself well enough to realize that I just wasn't ready at the time. I could have had kids I suppose but it would probably have come with a broken marriage and I just didn't think that was the right thing to do even though I really did want a child. What are you gonna do though, that's life I guess:)
Hugh brought humor and charm to the Levenson trial.
Has anyone seen the you tube videos of Hugh at the Actor's Studio? It's a must! The guy has a natural wit and is so funny throughout the show.
@whamo Tell your friend who can't eat his wife out to suck it up. Most women don't exactly lust after having a hairy, sweaty sack in their face...it's one of those things you just do. Seems to me that after having the damn thing torn to shreds delivering the child he loves so much that his wife deserves a good cuntmunch more than ever. Sounds like bitch needs needs to man up and start licking some serious carpet,
Lol!!!
He didn't come off too bad! He talks a big game but I bet he'll ensure the bebeh & Mom don't ever struggle for anything.
And "Dayum That Bitch Got Old" - oooooooh that's cold MK, hahahahahaha! ;)

If I were a guy, I wouldnt want to look at childbirth either. Mr. Fury didn't want to cut the cord, it grossed him out and I was fine with that.
Granted, I had c-sections so never had to do the natural way and my girl down there is as fab as ever *snickers*
The fathers I know, as well as Mr. F are VERY hands on, all the time.
Damn, when I see men taking good care of their kids, it's like the biggest turn on ever. Sexy as hell!

Whamo, do you regret never having kids or would you have "liked" to?!
Most Americans think all Brit accents are "posh" -even the likes of Cheryl Cole and Jordan!
Hugh should as hell should have wrapped his dick up, I think he never wanted kids. Not a damn thing wrong with that but you better make sure you WRAP it.
While I'm not a fan of this British "scallywag", he did say he finds it amazing that parents now helicopter their kids and follow them all over the garden/yard/park etc. I totally agree! Let your kid play with other kids and learn to deal with peers without fussing over everything!
In my small neighborhood there are a families like this and it's ridiuclous. They won't their kindergartners out to play in the yard without going everywhere with them - they won't even watch from the deck!
We let out kids out and about with other kids and they love it. 70s childhoods!
They have rules: no going into the woods or to the lake alone (we have the best 'hood ever) and no going into houses before telling us. No veering off our long street. Any changes in play, let us know. That's it. We have kids (not ours0 popping in and out all the time. Last week, one of my son's besties came in around 2.30pm and asked me to make him lunch. I loved it!
Too many parents are up their kids asses and they aren't protecting the kids, they are harassing them! No freedom, no falling without a big drama and it also gives the kids a sense of importance that's not real and makes them think their every step and ball throw deserves a big fat round of applause and being told how brilliant they are. Ugh!
That's my rant over. Helicoptering an only child or small kid is understandable but helicopter parents of kids of kids over 5 are annoying as fuck. Pardon my rude language.

Wow, I'll be honest Kekki my buddies must be great guys because none of them really go out at all anymore, granted I'm not there all the time but I know they hang out and look out for the kids a lot and that's why I was a little surprised.
I do agree most women do a great deal of the rearing but the guys seem to bust their asses to be good dads from what I can see.
As for the sex stopping I think that works both ways. I've had guys tell me (usually with a few drinks in em) their wives want sex but they are having a hard time getting into it after seeing the whole child birth thing, one friend in particular (and probably the best of the dads ) said going south on his wife is the hardest thing for him to do now.

Hugh Grant will be 52 this year, he looks pretty good, better than I thought. At a relatively young age (30s) he had very deep wrinkles.
I think his daughter will soften him up. Girls usually adore their dad's.

But dads do not always adore their daughters.

I find it weird that he said "like" to describe how he feels about the kid. Didn't have to say love, of course, but like? He may as well be talking about Chinese food.
Maybe he has burned through all his cash and doesn't have the financial wherewithal to set up a trust fund for his child.
Um....yeah. "Spawning", as someone here puts it, only affects those parents who spend every day with their kids. As in living with them. As in, holding them, helping take care of them, watching them grow. Im not surprised Hugh-ge manchild here hasn't had his kid change his life. No,not really.
