Thanks for the advice, yo. I'm excited about getting a dog; I had only cats growing up, b/c the parents were allergic to dogs. As long as the job thing works out, and we both end up working shifts where we could reasonably care for a big dog, I think it'll work out.

I can get some of what you are razzed about perhaps, but Debbie Reynolds has been making the do re mi lately.

I can remember when the scandal went down, even the regular papers carried it, not just the tabloids so it was discussed in polite company, including children. My mother, who never said much to me in any way, commented to me never be friend like this. She could never really like Elizabeth Taylor because she took Eddie Fisher fron her good friend Debbie Reynolds. Husband stealing is a big one to get over in the public eye. Makes you not likeable, a curse in movie world. Witness poor Angelina has to try double hard.

You won't regret getting a shep, I'm on my seventh year with my boy. just make sure you have plenty of room, sheps need room both indoors and out, and that you're ready to be alpha, because they will try to go alpha on you, and that's not acceptable. try getting a book by the monks of the new skeet, they are buddist monks who raise sheps and know all about the ins and outs of owning one. I've had other dogs, and I will never go back, this has been the best experience in all my dog owning years, due to the loyalty,protection and intelligence of the shep. you don't have to train a shep to protect you and your family, he/she just will. amazing dogs.but they like having the upper hand, which is a no no with any dog, let alone one that size.
