Angie Jolie As Maleficent
Here's ice cold villainess Angie Jolie with swap meet contacts on her eyes and leather dildos on her head (missing: a Kardashian sucking one of those things off) in the first picture of her as ice cold villainess Maleficent. Maleficent doesn't come out for another million years (March 14, 2014 to be exact), but the paparazzi have been stalking the set in England, so I'm guessing Disney pushed this picture out before they get scooped. That's why it looks like it was taken in the dark part of her dungeon by Maddox on an iPhone with a broken flash. It's kind of giving me Paula Abdul in Rush Rush vibes. Disney also queefed out this statement with the picture:

I really hope the costume designers don't cover up the most terrifying thing on Angie Jolie (no, not her hypnotic vagina): her loch ness forehead vein! They should use her forehead vein to their advantage, because it has a life of its own and really makes scared hos reach for the holy water.

Agree with you. For all the shit I heap on Angelina at JJ, I don't hate her that much. She is compelling to watch onscreen, and I think she will rock Maleficent. She'd be an awesome Norma Desmond, too. I'd love to see that .

My people are FINALLY getting the recognition they deserve...
Beowulf was one of the worst things I have ever seen.
miz: When I was a kid, I had this book of fairy tales from around the world, "The Pink Fiary Book", compiled by Andrew Lang. There are several others, like The Blue Fairy Book, etc. They have gorgeous woodcut illustrations, too.
Some of the stories are comedic, but many are very dark and scary. There were two that scared the SHIT out of me as a kid. They'd make GREAT movies.
I bought a copy my kids, but they haven't gotten into them yet.

I get that there are some really dark fairy tales out there, but someone else needs to do them aside from Disney or Tim Burton in order to capture the right mood. Not every fairy tale was meant to be sappy. Hansel and Gretal is a good example. That shit is really fucked up when you think about it. There's a director whose name I can't think of at the moment, who did a really good, dark movie whose title I can't recall, that I think would be perfect for this genre - Guillermo Del Toro - or smthg? If anyone knows who I'm talking about, feel free to correct me.
I'm torn.

This might be her best chance at another good role (for her) since Angie Jo is at her best when she's playing herself.
I do like the idea of focusing on the villains of fairy tales. They're always the most interesting ones in the stories. Snow White and the Huntsman could have been awesome if it had focused on the Queen and her craziness (as the ads led you to believe it would) and not included much of Snow White and her dwarves, etc...
Also, loved Sharlto Copley in District 9. Hopefully he'll have a good role in this.
