Katie Holmes Wants To Take This Shit Public
Ever since Katie Holmes took shit from serious to SERIOUS by filing for sole custody of Suri Cruise in NYC, the media has been saying that it's only a matter of days before Tommy Girl files his own divorce papers in California. In California, Tommy has a better chance of getting joint custody of L. Ron Hubbard's golden child and if he doesn't, he can easily grab her, take her to the flying pirate ship in Scientology's California desert compound and fly her off to space where she can be raised by moon craters or whatever. Hollywood Life (aka grainofsalt.org) says that Katie's lawyers know what Tommy is trying to do and they're one step ahead of his ass. They filed for an emergency hearing in NYC yesterday, forcing Tommy to get himself a New York lawyer and show his face in court on July 17th. Katie wants a judge to grant her temporary full custody of Suri and give her some child support. HL says this is Katie's way of letting Tommy know that she'll happily break Scientology's fourth wall if he tries to fuck with her. A source put it like this:
Katie filed an ‘emergent application’ in New York City on July 3. It’s a motion seeking temporary emergency relief, which can include child support and custody. It also means that Tom is going to have to hire a New York lawyer — he can’t use his Calif. lawyer anymore. The motion also means that both Tom and Katie have to be present in court on July 17. A judge is now assigned to their case, which means it’s no longer going to be an out-of-court settlement. They are scheduled to appear before Judge Matthew Cooper on July 17 at 9:30 AM.
Katie doesn’t anticipate Tom cooperating, and there have been rumors that he’s going to file in Calif. and argue that litigation should be there rather than New York. Bottom line: if you file an emergency motion, you don’t believe there’s going to be cooperation from the other party or you need an order that only the court can give. It might have something to do with trying to control the media.They filed under anonymous verses anonymous to avoid the media. Most celebs do that. It’s unlikely for a celebrity to file an emergency hearing, because most celebrities settle out of court because they don’t want the media involved in their case. Katie and Tom are now going to have an open court room, which means that anyone can walk in and see what’s happening. Plus, they are putting their case in the hands of a judge who is going to determine what happens next. Most public figures don’t want that — it’s a last resort. It’s super-aggressive for Katie to have taken these steps. It suggests that there’s going to be a contentious divorce battle to come.”
If this is true, then I guess in two weeks we'll all be sitting in the back of a NYC courtroom eating popcorn and drinking white wine spritzers out of white grape juice bottles while watching the real-life Scientologized remake of Not Without My Daughter. That shit is going to be a show. It's times like this when I wish Judge Judy was still a practicing family court judge and that one of her aliases is Judge Matthew Cooper. im not saying the catholocism is a beacon to aspire to, nor am i defending the catholic church or any other religion for that matter, because they turn a blind eye to things and use their big bank balances to subjugate people, but i'm pointing out in this instance of divorce, where the parents split up, CO$ forces the party who no longer wants to belong to the CO$ to cut ties.
Oh - she most certainly will work again. Look at Nicole - after the divorce , she scooped herself up an Oscar. Look at Jen Aniston - for as much as she was a TV star in her own right prior to Pitt .. after the high profile divorce , she had movie parts hand over fist. I'm sure if anything, this might spike Katie's star power. She was a part of a "power couple". Not saying she had any of the power -but people might find her even more interesting after this.
Using Suri as leverage? Give me a break. Ever since this kid was born and even while she and Tom were together she was ALWAYS with this girl. Just like a mother should be.

Yes we used to take our kids out on the 4th or were at the beach etc. That is no big deal at all.
Now they are all teenagers and go out on dates or with their friends and it was just me and the old man watching fireworks on TV. LOL we are getting older and even more boring, if that's possible.
Ok I know TC is a little crazy and I hate hate hate Scientology. I have family in Clearwater and the local paper did stories on their headquarters constantly so I get that they are greedy, obnoxious thugs.
However, TC is extremely charming (good for him) he and Speilberg came to Lexington Virginia to scout War of the Worlds location, which they came back and filmed some there, and it is about an hour away from my home, and TC dropped $500 cash in a kids can with cancer at a local joint. I know its like 50 cents to someone like him, but Speilberg didn't drop anything.
Also, people say when TC talks to you he makes YOU feel like you are the most important person in the world. That is a gift.
My point is, can you imagine being charmed by someone like that? Who is offering you the world? Then you have this beautiful daughter? Its irresistable. She has the power to bring down scientology just like Nicole did. Will she have to guts to do it? NO NO NO she will take her daughter and the $ and sign a silence contract.
You can tell this story is crap just by its use of "emergent" application. If anything, it'd be an "emergency" application ("emergent" means "becoming prominent"). Her lawyer has already flat-out denied it's true.
Maybe she's not using her child as leverage at all and is actually trying to protect her. I'm glad she has a father that can show her the ropes and manuever her through the legal system.
We've seen Tom's antics - he's not the most stable person. Whether jumping on couches, trashing Brooke Shields for using anti depressants and calling Matt Lauer "glib". Lets face it - he's a control freak. It's his way of thinking or the highway. No one knows what goes on behind closed doors.
It could be possible that she doesnt want her child brainwashed the same way he apparently did it to his adopted children , Connor & Isabella, when he divorced Nicole. Katie saw that shit go down. What they do when they're with you is what they'll do to you!
Plus, he's off filming and promoting. When does he have time to see this child? Is it possible that Katie just wants to get on with her life and Tom is the one using his child as leverage to fuck with her? She's unhappy --- let her go!
As for the kid being up late - isnt this on the 4th of July? Hellloooo ... fireworks display doesnt go off until dark .. almost ALL children are up past their bedtime on this night. sheesh.

You're right. It's about Suri. I feel like I'm alone in thinking what Katie's done here is reprehensible. She's using the child as leverage and it's pretty sick. its because religious organisations always have ALOT of money.

Sometimes kids need to be taken for a walk or driven in the car to get them sleepy. I know when my kids were cranky, we would take midnight runs around the block in the car. My kids still like milk or a small snack before bed. Helps them feel cozy. Maybe it's Katies motherly way of soothing her with ice cream, etc. She won't be little forever. It may be her way of spending quiet " alone time with Suri without the 24/7 handlers!

Regarding Katie and Tom, this fascinates me because there are so many lies upon lies and of course a cult and a very wealthy movie star and a public that is so easily manipulated by images. Example people think Katie is a good mother. Why? Because they see pictures of Katie with Suri a lot. So what? Maybe she is maybe she isn't, maybe after the photo op she drops the kid off with three nannies. There are 24 hours in a day, you see a picture that took a second to take and the public makes a judgement based on that when these are controlled images, you see what they want you to see.

It's not about Katie vs. Tom or saying he's perfect. I think she knew EXACTLY what she signed up for... I said this the other day on here, and there was a flood of hate saying I was so cruel to talk badly about Saint Katie.
Look, it was in papers before she got together with him, that he was cruising (hehe) around looking for a young starlet wife. Some actress (can't remember her name?) revealed she was invited to a dinner with Tom and then ambushed by Scientologists, asking if she'd sign on for a marriage stunt. She literally ran away, and not much longer we see Katie engaged to Tom.
I love Tom's movies. I like his acting and I like the person he shows us on interviews. He comes off silly, playful, happy and down to earth. That said, I realize he's brainwashed by a crazy-ass religion and probably has a ton of demons he's trying to hide.
Katie seems decent enough, I've never been a huge fan of her acting but she seems a sweet girl. That doesn't mean she's an awesome mom or human being, for that part. She could be a real asshole in person, who knows? We only see clips and bits of their real life.
I don't feel sorry for her because she knew what she was getting into AND created a baby in the mix. I mean come on, after the Oprah couch-jumping episode (before they were married), she should've ran off in high gear.
This is all publicity for them. I do hope, however, she comes out with a book one day.
She's laughing cuz she has cast off all those "engrams" and I think that's cool.
