The Special Friendship That Never Was: Suri And An Adorable Puppy
Over the weekend, Suri Cruise found out that the most painful heartbreak comes when your mean ass mother refuses to buy you a puppy friend that you'll give a completely original name to (examples: Fluffy, Whitey, Puppy, Cutie and MIIIIIINE) cuddle with for around two weeks, never take care of and ignore in a few months when it grows into a dog body and is no longer to adorable to child eyes. Katie Holmes took Suri to a pet store in NYC the other day and had one of the store's assistants bring out two puppies, a Frenchie and a Morkie (a half Yorkie, half Maltese). Suri wrapped her tiny heart around the Morkie (probably because it reminded her of her alien Uncle Mork) and begged Katie to buy it for her. The old Katie would've phoned home to headquarters to ask her Scientology handlers if she can bring home a puppy if she gives it a Thetan bath and threatens to expose its deepest, darkest secrets to the tabloids if it defects from the cult of Xenu. But the Katie of today actually makes decisions by herself and she chose to break Suri's heart by not buying the Morkie. I think I speak for Suri when I say: "I HATE YOU FOR THIS, KATIE!"
Katie, is of course, getting some heat for thinking about buying a puppy from a pet store instead of going to a shelter. The North Shore Animal League America used Radar to openly invite Katie and Suri to their shelter to possibly adopt a dog:
“Unfortunately most pet stores are provided their dogs from commercial breeding organizations otherwise known as puppy mills. The breeder parents are not kept in conditions that are acceptable to caring for companion animals. They don’t get the medical care they need. They are overbred and when the dog is no longer able to breed they either sell them to auctions or kill them. If you go to a shelter you’re going to find beautiful, healthy puppies, even purebreds," the spokeswoman says. "Not only that you will also be saving a life. We would love to show Katie the animals we have if she is ready to adopt.”
Katie is a dumb bitch for taking Suri to a pet store in the first place. You know what happens when you take a kid to a pet store? They cry, pout and wish death upon you when you refuse to buy them the only thing they've ever wanted in life. When I'd go to the mall with my mom, she'd purposefully stay away from the area in the mall with the pet store in it, because she really didn't want me to scream at her, "I'm going to kill myself if you don't buy me this $3,000 puppy that probably has the sicks in a major way since it came from a mill!" And that was just last week.
I don't know why Katie's shopping for a puppy anyway. Katie just got rid of a tiny creature who nipped at her ankles, licked its own ass, was barely potty trained and constantly barked at her all the time, and now she wants another one?

Katie is going to have her work cut out for her in terms of undoing all the damage Tom has done to this child. You'll need all the luck you can get girl.

I thought she was funny looking before she was like 1 yr old. Her eyes often looked swollen like a someone after a boxing match. Lol but once she grew out of the infant stage, she looked gorgeous, though creepy because she seldom smiled.
When she was photographed eating the cupcake, she looked like a real kid, smiling and making faces a strangers. Being playful!
She always had gorgeous eyes, though. : D

I'm one of the first ones to call these famewhores out on their relentless famewhoring (and most HW ppl ARE!), but here, I seriously think that she just has a couple of the same photogs trailing her every move. She is perhaps hoping that they will get sick of it and in time, just leave her alone. She seems to be just goin about her business as usual and making some attempt to ignore them. Cunt. Who the fucking hell buys dogs from a pet store anymore? One of my dogs was a puppy mill survivor. Ten dogs in four foot cages. So much feces they couldn't move. Killed the puppies they couldn't sell. The pictures on the internet aren't anything like the dogs live. How fucking stupid and cruel can you be? The damn amish are the worst. I will be forever grateful to a local Persian cattery (not from where he came from) for helping me address the new challenge of Persian PKD and keeping Mah Boy in chillaxin' form! :D

I grew up with a few rescue dogs, two little and one giant but dogs aren't my thing. TEAM KITTEH!
Sadly most pet stores are all about making money and the health and welfare of the animals they sell is less important then the almighty buck. Shelters are non profit and tend to put the welfare of the animal before the money. Anyhoo another photo-op for Katiebot.
Aww...poor Suri!! I've been there before hun. My parents did this to us a few times, and we always thought "THIS IS THE DAY!!! THIS IS THE DAY WE ARE GETTING A DOG!!!!" We never did. :( Which is probably why I'm obsessed with them now and always have to have at least two following my ass around the house at a time to make me feel complete. I also have teo birds and fish, and would probably have more pets if I had the room. I LOVE animals!!!
But I agree...if you're gonna get one, please adopt from a shelter or even animal control.

My friend got a Chow-Shepherd mix that was so vicious her kids and their friends were not allowed near it by the time it was six months old.

I blame the shelter for your friend's misfortune. Chows are notoriously nasty and for the most part are one-person dogs. Definitely not a breed most experts would recommend for homes with children.
Regarding Katie, it's pretty shitty to take a kid to a pet store if you have no intention of buying anything, but Suri is such a spoiled asshole it's kind of nice to see her denied.
I have nothing against buying dogs from reputable, responsible breeders, but pet stores are the ultimate evil. My friend worked at one and she said the dogs would be delivered on the back of a truck and they were crammed into chicken cages with no pans on the bottom. So when they shit and pissed it dropped down onto the dogs below. She said the poor things would be caked in filth. She ended up quitting and reporting what she saw but nothing was done about it.

She is amazing. She had a bad infection on her leg a few weeks back but after a visit to the vet and some antibiotics she is back to fine form. She left a mouse as gift on my porch a few days ago.
