Tommy Is FINALLY Free Of Katie!
Remember the old days when Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise's manufactured smiles would make our genitals run up into our bodies and cling to our insides? It's safe for your genitals to come back out again, because those days are officially over now that Tommy has ripped up their marriage license, threw the pieces into a stone bowl, added a little oil and muddled into a thick lube that he rubbed all over his Scientolohole and then humped away the pain he got from losing another beard. People says that less than two months after Katie filed for divorce, a judge in New York signed off on it and finalized that shit. The FREE KATIE mission is complete.
As everybody already knows, in the divorce settlement, Katie gets full control of her brain, a lump sum, child support and full custody of Scientology's former golden child Suri. Tommy gets to visit Suri as long as he doesn't try to kidnap her, drag to wherever the old Star Trek: The Experience ride is housed and teleport her to the Galactic Confederacy headquarters on the planet Htrae.
We should praise Mac, Wiploc and Zeebo from Earth Girls Are Easy (they're Scientology's demigods, right?), because Tommy is finally free and no longer has to drag around an insubordinate beard who frowns when he calls her "Kate" and gets all whiny when he tells her that it's time to complete the transformation by getting a robot lobotomy. Katie was so annoying. Every time Tommy's Grindr app on his iPhone froze up and he had to take it to the Genius Bar, Katie would step into that Apple store and run away screaming thinking she was there to get her human brain replaced with OS X Garfield (or whatever the name of the latest OS is). That is all behind him now.
Now Tommy can focus on finding a beard who keeps it professional and isn't going to ruin his non-stop sauna orgy party by trying to take down Scientology. I hear Kristen Stewart might be available and her head is already empty, so she's halfway to a robot lobotomy.

No, I'm not into scientology. Just see so many parallels between T.C and my dad. Rotten childhood, highly successful DNA (Tom comes from a line of lawyers/judges), fiercely ambitious and successful, socially inept, and easily manipulated by praise.
My dad would never have stayed married in this time period. Yet, even my mom has contemplated leaving him. My father is/was extremely controlling, sabotaged my career at 28 by using his connections to "steer" me in the "right" direction. However,like T.C, he has a sort of charisma and talent that enabled him to climb high up the ladder of success.
My father struggled to develop any sort of relationship with his kids- very awkward. Weirdly, years ago he saved a USA Today for me because there was a pic of Tom Cruise he thought "I would like".
I don't really think T.C. knows all the dark secrets of Scientology. He's a workaholic in a separate world so really not as involved as people portray him to be. But Scient knows how to play on all his weaknesses ..make him feel special, praise his every breath and also leverage the starstruck "congregation" to fall at his feet as well. This attention/acceptance is something the rejected child has been searching for all his life. When his last 2 marriages fell apart and *he* ended them, his scientology "family" was there to "encourage and support" him.
Yet like my father, T.C. can NOT be alone. I just know this type of man all too well. I feel very badly for T.C. because he is just so unable to maintain a family/marriage he so desperately needs.

I don't completely disagree with Tom's opinion on this country's obsession with taking a pill for everything. I'm not just talking about psych meds. And I know many people need medication. I take medication when I need to. But Jesus there are commercials on every 4 seconds for anti depressants cholesterol diabetes and anything else you may think you need. I got Tom's message. The problem with Tom is he is batshit crazy, so even if he has a valid point he is a zealot. Unable to see that it's not just ONE way. Some people have depression and can not function without meds. Other people really don't need to take every prescription their doctor shoves at them, but are brainwashed by pharmaceutical companies to do just that. If Tom cruise turned down the amps in his brain by half, he may be somewhat normal. His problem is HE probably does suffer from some sort of mental issues brought on by trauma in his family/ childhood (get in line right?) and he could maybe benefit from a good therapist and some meds but instead the cult found him and played him like a fiddle. That's what cults do. I feel sorry for him a bit. The person, not the rich movie star. That probably doesn't make sense. Loved Top Gun btw.

I do agree that Miscavige, had him by the short and curlies (in the past definitely) but I do believe that as time has gone on and Tom has been shown "the brass ring" as it were and I'm less inclined to believe he's being lead as much as we'd like to believe.
Again I don't believe at Tom's level there is anything he doesn't know about this cult past or present. He's been with them a long long time, as I say he's damn near # 2 and by the time you get to that level you are well aware of the ins and outs. I believe you justify the negative with what you see as positive. I also believe that Tom knows what happen and where Miscarriage's wife is and if Katie wasn't as public a figure as she is she'd be in the same place.

Actually Whamo, if you would read the fantastic articles by Tony Ortega you would see that Miscaviage IS the one pulling the strings of Cruise, and is the one who made Cruise the face of Scientology. Miscaviage makes people, including his own wife and other relatives "disappear" if they step out of line. He uses any means necessary to attain his goals, and if you want the real scoop Village Voice and the Orlando (I think) newspaper is where you should go.
I do feel a twinge of sympathy for anyone so caught up in any religion or cult that they fear what would happen if they left.
Cruise distanced himself from them for close to 10 yrs and Miscaviage would NOT leave him alone, so he was sucked back.
I would delve into more, but I am angry today, as death came calling to a family member of mine, and am heading to a family gathering to hold some hands and cry a bit.. FUCK INCOMPETENT DOCTORS AND DEATH!

I just think Miscavidge (sp?) is leading him around by the nose. That's how Kate might have fallen for him. She felt sorry for him or only saw him as the charismatic movie star. Later, she saw his true colors and how dangerous Sci was and could be. Was money and fame part of it? Absolutely, but I also think that initially she fell for him. Bug mistake!

Honestly, I always feel a bit bad for him. He has spoken openly ('though, not often) about always being the loser, poor kid growing up; he totally acts like someone who was sexually abused in his youth (all his posturing and shame around his sexuality)... I'm certainly not a great fan but I just can't hate on him because he seems not so much evil as lonely & insecure.
And, I can't get on the "go Katie, get that money, Bitch" train. She accepted the bearding contract with her eyes open; shoulda never signed up OR have done the job with grace and exited quietly when the contract was finished. The sight of him nauseated me for the longest time once I read about his involvement with COS, but honestly, the more I read of him lately the more I feel like he's a guy who has some real social skill issues (which aren't his fault as lots of people have them) that found a home where he felt he belongs and doesn't want to let go of that. As much as I think he's a weirdo, I don't think he's gay. My hardened heart for him because of the creepy way his relationship started with KH has actually softened a little. I almost feel bad for the guy. I think he's as brainwashed as everyone else in that cult. I don't think she was going to spill gay secrets on him (because, again, don't think he's gay), I think it was Scientology secrets. Which could include gay stuff, but I think its more the dirt on what the org has done to people. Confirming things they have denied, etc.

With an uncontested divorce and a prenup that addresses property and support issues, I bet you can get divorced almost immediately in NY. That's why Katie lived there for the prior year: to establish the minimum residency pre-divorce. It obvs helps if both sides have big-shot lawyers who know the judges and can work the system.
