...actually Calgary got the odd decent act, but they brought in noise bylaws that effectively prevented the use of McMahon stadium, the only decent big outdoor venue, so the really big acts like Bowie and U2 went to Edmonton or Vancouver...
...yeah I don't think the kids will ever see the live authentic performances that we did back in the day...except for some of the classic acts like Clapton, Blondie, et al, the newer 'big' acts simply perform karaoke...if they sing live at all...pathetic....

...hey Wham yeah the CNE was awesome...I actually was from out West and we'd get the odd big name in Edmonton like Bowie in 83, Eurythmics in Van in 86 and U2 in both venues in latter 80s, but the Toronto CNE was THE Canadian concert venue back in the day...

@ Ocean.......ya they had so many good bands go through there, I guess back then a lot of times big band would only do Toronto or Montreal and sometimes Vancouver for their Canadian date.
I saw The Police Talking Heads, The Who, Pink Floyd, Supertramp, U2, Bowie, Rush and I'm sure a few other at the CNE. We use to get someone to go in first then stand on the second floor and we'd throw our wine skins up to get our booze in:p

Yes please, kill the actress! She looks cute but her lazy accent is so annoying. who was the actress that her costar mentioned when the play was revamped? Was she someone who dated a gangster and was killed? I forgot to look it up. And I was thinking about how little nudity they give the female viewers of the show. And whenever they do, it's to embarrass the guy. Clothing gives the characters dignity, and it says a lot about the creators of the show when even a female lawyer has to have a nude scene. There are plenty of female fans and it pisses me off.
