Total bravo. I also am a virgin (not a "technical" virgin or whatever shit like that, but the real thing). And yeah, it's by choice. It's my sex life, so I can decide if I DON'T want to do stuff, even though most people sneer at virgins.

Saw this late, but to answer your question. I didn't want to be apart of "family tradition" and get knocked up at 15-16 years old. I wanted an education and more for myself and out of life. Then after I was past 16, I talked to friends and relatives who told me that they wished they waited, and the dramas of them finding out that "sex" wasn't just "sex" but other emotions and feelings were involved. A lot of drama went down between them and their partners, and I just never wanted to be a part of that. I want to wait to be in love with someone, and honestly, I am a very cautious person when it comes to romantic feelings, and I just never found the proper person to connect with on an emotional level to where I felt as if I could give myself to them on a physical level. However, if people feel as if they can disconnect from an emotional attachment and have it just be sex, I have to question whether something is mentally wrong with them or they are just kidding themselves. I may not know what it is like to physically connect with someone in that way,but I'm not stupid and logic would dictate that their would be. I am in general an emotional and sensitive person, even though sometimes I might come across hard, and honestly, I know I could not take just a casual "fuck." It's not in my nature, but if people want to do that, more power to them.
