Fassbender was actually very good in Xmen the New Class. Considering he played the role originally done by Ian McKellan he did it some justice. He also had a small part in Haywire but it didn't require much of him except for a fight scene.

@Aphid - I need to see Shame. Fassender was only asked to act robotically in Prometheus, so I didn't feel as though I had ample time to see him flex his acting chops. Aside from that, wasn't he in an action movie? Again, I want to see him in smthg substantial. Just so happens he shows his package in Shame...

Shame is hard to watch, but Fassy does a fantastic job playing a really tortured character. That, and "Hunger"....which is almost impossible to watch, it's so disturbing....really put his acting chops front and center.

Oh and he's also stupidly fucking gorgeous. So there's that.

I am a HUGE fan of Alien and Aliens. You have to see Aliens (part 2)! It's pretty great, only marginally better than the first one because there is more action. Alien 3 is just a disaster. OK, watch it, but do so for a laugh. The only good thing about it is Sigourney Weaver's shaved head, and of course, Charles Dance being his usual awesome self. It is terrible otherwise. It should posthumously receive the Indiana Jones in a Fridge Award for the Sequel That Ruined the Franchise. I hated Alien 4 too, but it's "worth watching for the sake of it".

I saw Prometheus when it came out, having anticipated it for over a year beforehand. Looking back I guess it was disappointing - I'm gonna need to see the uncut version to make a final call on it though.

I really liked Prometheus. I watched "Shame " for the first time last, wow. He's a good actor but his jaw freaks me out a little. He was perfect as the Android. As for Gosling, I think he's very cute and has a great body, but he's got what I call frat douche face. Just a little too smug for me. Good actor, though.

@Lucy - Prometheus held my attention. Not enough naked Assbender:) I was so out of it, that it took me until the movie was halfway over to realize that the girl was Noomi Rapace, from Dragon Tattoo. I thought that the story was going to focus on more of Charlize and Fassbender since they were the headliners in the movie. You would've like Idris Elba. For some odd reason, in a movie where the majority of the actors had British accents, Idris was made to do an American one! I think he's much sexier with his own accent!

Also, my husband told me that this is considered a prequel to the Alien movies. We still have to watch Alien 2 and 3. My brother was into that series when we were younger and I've only seen bits and pieces with the one with Winona Ryder in it, so I'm curious how the story is going to play out.

Have you seen Prometheus or any of the Alien movies?

Another annoying thing is this: when there is a Sexiest Women countdown, the magazine always manages to find pictures of every single woman on the list in a bikini/strategically naked. When there is a Sexiest Men countdown, their pictures are all either fully clothed or head-shots.

Here's the thing-if these two were female actors they would be all over each other in this "not staged" photo op because most women are encouraged, sometimes pushed to behave that way. but because of social constructs and homophobic hollywood this is the most we can get from these two. THE INJUSTICE!

Gosling really does nothing for me sexually, but I do think he is a very good actor who appears to work at it and is not lazy or feels that he is so talented that he doesn't have to really work hard.
