Jenni Rivera Missing After Suspected Plane Crash In Mexico (UPDATE: Plane Found, No Survivors)
A small plane carrying Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera went totally missing early this morning after it fell off the radar. AP (via HuffPo) says that after performing at a show in Monterrey, Mexico, Jenni, two pilots and four others all got on a small plane headed for Toluca. The plane took off at around 3:30 am and flew about 62 miles before it lost contact with radar. The U.S. Learjet 25 was supposed to land in Toluca at 4:40 am, but it didn't.
Mexican officials say that several helicopters are searching for the plane now. Jenni's publicist was also on the jet and he tweeted pictures from her show last night, before they got on the plane.
43-year-old Jenni was born in Long Beach and lives in Encino, CA with her 5 children. Jenni has sold almost 15 million records worldwide and is also the star of the reality show I Love Jenni. Jenni recently just signed a deal with ABC for her own sitcom. Jenni's had a whole lot of escandalosoness in her life. After she filed for divorce from her husband two years ago, he was accused of having an affair with her daughter. Her daughter denied it.
This doesn't look good at all, but hopefully La Gran Senora is fine and will be pouring beer on the heads of young girls for years to come.
UPDATE: Officials say they found the wreckage of the crashed plane and there were no survivors. The crash was apparently so intense and hard that there's pieces of the plane scattered all over the place. Two pilots, Jenni Rivera, Jenni's make-up artist Jacob Yebale, her lawyer and her manager were all on board. Here's the last known picture of Jenni that was tweeted by Jacob Yebale before the plane took off:

Rest in peace.
And now I'll go and console some of my family members by pouring a beer over their heads, because they are probably losing their minds over this news.

Truly sad, I wonder what went wrong. RIP

How sad. Especially during the holiday season. Why can't this shit happen to the Kardashians?
SERIOUSLY ^^^ THIIIIIS!!! THAT WOULD BE MY DREAM COME TRUE TO WAKE UP AND HEAR ON THE NEWS THAT A LARGE PLANE CRASHED THAT WAS FULLLL OF KARDASHIANS, NO SURVIVORS... ahh that sounds like heaven!
So sad! A true legend, gone too soon! RIP Jenni!! :(
Super, super, super sad. That last pic is so haunting. Happy one minute, gone the next. And at Christmas too. I can't...
Tell all the whores in your life you love their annoying dramatic asses.
I had read last week where she picked up a tv deal with ABC for her own show ala George Lopez.
Life is indeed short.

Didn't know her, but this is so sad.
I don't know any of the people mentioned, but it is sad looking at their picture and knowing just a few hours later, they would all be dead....life is precious, live it up!
RIP Jenni and all those that lost their lives on the plane...i didn't know her music, but they showed a snippet of a concert she did and she was working her thighs...

Can't say I knew who she was, but it's still sad and tragic for her family and fans. At least she was with friends at the end. RIP.
Sit down J.Lo, no you can't be in the movie.
What's with the Mabel and Mr. Sarcastic thing... People.
I didn't know her or her music, but still sad right before Christmas. R.I.P.
Everybody should be ready to put on the long white robe at any time. Beautiful face. Love to her kids.
Quit it Angela. Nobody buys your Mabel bullshit.
Go do some 'light therapy'.
Believe it or not, THIS ISN'T ABOUT YOU.
Lives lost, RIP. Creepy seeing the tweets less than 24 hours ago.
I can't imagine how her brother is supposed to identify her body. Sounds like it is just...not a situation anyone would ever want to be in.

That last picture is so happy and beautiful. :(

So sorry to hear this! Rest in Peace.
So sad, her youngest who is 10 or 11 also lost his father years ago, so sad for all of the family. Que descansa en paz jenni la diva!
Oh man. Sh was planning for a big English crossover (she was working on an album for 2013, from what I heard). This is so awful. I was really hoping for better news, especially this time of year. Her family must be devastated.
I am such a freak about car accidents and plane crashes. I've lost too many people to the former and the fact that you can do nothing but sit there and be horrified in a plane gives me the heebie jeebies. I just feel sick to my stomach when I know someone died in a horrible way and they were fearful in the end.
That is a wonderful, beautiful last image for their loved ones, I'm sorry the crew's duties had them elsewhere because one day when they agony is so very slightly less those left with the loss of these folks can look at those lovely, happy and joyous expressions and remember the happiness, sense of fun, and obvious good humour they're radiating.
RIP to every one of the passengers & crew.

Good God what a big bottomed woman:
http://barbara.guanabee.com/2010/08/esteban-loaiza-jenni-rivera-picture-...
Hard to imagine that could remain hidden from helicopters.
Should have rented a cargo plane instead.
I also recognize one of the guys. He was a reporter. :-(.
Whatever issues she had in her personal life, she still tried to give back as a spokesperson against domestic violence. I can relate to the shock of losing a loved one suddenly, so I feel for these folks' children and family. Peace to them during such a difficult time.
Never heard of her, but sad nonetheless. I can't remember who brought up Jim Croce earlier, but he was so gifted and one of my favorites (don't judge). Who the fuck do I have to blow around here to get a Santa hat on my Nancy?

I don't know who this woman is, but it is sad. It also reminds me of Aaliyah's death in 2001 and the Big Bopper, Buddy Holly, and Richie Valens.
----------------------------------------------
Also Ricky Nelson and Mamonas Assassinas.
This reminds me of Aaliyah who also died way too young on a plane.
TrashyWilma I don't like seeing the last pics or videos taken right before someone dies either. I feel so bad for their families.

Whoa Trashy! And yet as quickly as that happened there is still the screams. I've had a few car accidents and always seemed surreal in a way as if it happened in slow motion when really this was never the case. Eerie to say the least.

I never saw the video you are referring to but I agree the pic is pretty creepy. Too bad no one had some Final Destination type of vision before the flight took off.

It's an eerie video because she's so calm and serene while driving, and then she inexplicably veers off the road and the camera turns off.
This is really sad! Her poor kids, you only get one mother, and now she's gone. The best case scenario--that their plane crashed head on into a mountain, and they were completely unaware of what was about to happen.

You never can trust the weather people that's for sure. We got kind of a lot for most places, not much for where I live though. I love the snow when it's nice and manageable like this. Talk to me when it's 30 below and the snow is impossible to shovel ;)
Anyway I am out for the night, have a good night!
THE most sought after private plane is the Gulfstream-G650 and I still think if I had unlimited wealth I'd fly first class on commercial airlines as it seems to me the private plane crashes far outnumber the big jetliners going down.

Yes a very terrible way to go. Like someone has already said I love flying...it's just the crashing into a million pieces part that I hate.

It really bothers me to see pictures of people right before they die. You don't sense when death is coming. It's like that video of Lisa "Left-Eye" driving the car seconds before her fatal car crash. Sad.

PHM, just a skiff. Said to Whamo there might be more through the week but don't trust weather forecasts, so who knows. You guys sound like you got lots! BaconSlut is already starting the first snowball fight.
OnT: No reason for them to be with her but what a miracle none of her kids were with her. We haven't heard about the others much but how tragic for their families as well. :(

Sad for her children, Christmas time will never be the same for them.
So is this the picture of them in the plane before it crashed?
@Gem she was actually like a a Kardashian except she coudd sing, she became famous because her brother is also a singer, she had a sex tape, bad record with men and Classless. Please call me when Chabelo dies then I would cry a river, sadly this was a very horrible way to go :s for her and the people on the plane! But believe me. She was no martyr, tough life, terrible way to die

Damn that's sad. Reminds me of when Aaliyah's plane went down. There were pictures of her and the crew smiling and carefree just minutes before the plane went down. To be so full of life only for it to be snuffed out moments later.
May they rest in peace.

Sad. Plane crashes have always terrified me because it's one of the worst ways to go. You aren't prepared for it at all and the passengers have time for nothing but panic from the malfunction to the eventual fatal crash.

I'm hoping that maybe they were all sleeping since the flight was early in the a.m.
Hey Within! Do you have any snow where you live yet?
This is very sad. I'm not familiar with Jennifer nor her story. But my heart goes out to the families, friends, and fans as well as those on board the plane.
Bacon that is so hilarious and awesome. I wish they would broadcast him in Duluth..need to liven up our news stations.
Although a few years back our meteorologist had a stalker chase him out of town, and then came back..only to leave again. So sad.
