Here's Lynx the kitten teaching all of us a very important lesson: When there's a bowl of lasagna soup (or whatever the hell that is) on the table across from you and you've got the drunks so bad that you keep falling while trying to get to it, keep going after it. Jooostanhhh? No but I got one of his cookbooks, that man was a casserole making fool, may he rest in peace. Loved him. It's another crazy guy, he used to have a show based on wild game cooking. Both shows are heavy on promoting La. and educating about Creole/Cajun history. John Folse is his name.

Oh yea, I've totally heard of John Folse, as a matter of fact there is the Chef John Folse Culinary Institute at a University in SE Louisiana, and those motherfuckers are top notch. Some of those students have even traveled to France to compete in culinary competitions. Have a good night Bam!

@ ME, I heard the same thing about Killer Joe, can't wait to drop it in the player. I ran into my favorite pirate, he burns movies once they come out on dvd. Five bucks a pop, one free if you buy four, one free if you buy five and so on. I loaded up, some new, some to add to my collection.

Boredas, some years back I drove down to Tallahassee to visit relatives, just picked up and went. Along the way I stopped in a Hardee's for breakfast. They had these cinnamon biscuits that were so good that, well, I could see why folks there loved their guns cause I'd be tempted to put a bullet in a bitch over them thangs. Gawd I don't see how southerners do it, you just get fat on everything.
Well I'm out, got my drank, got my movies lined up, Arbitrage, Killer Joe, Premium Rush and ParaNorman. Wishing a happy and fruitful new year to everyone!

Yea, we aren't known for our health food that's for sure. My great-grandmother use to make and sell sweet potato pies around thanksgiving, and when I tell you those things sold out quick! I mean they were gone! You should try a bakery made King Cake. I think so far my favorite is Apples and cream cheese, and pecan praline, oooooooooooh my sweet shit!!! And in a few months...it'll be mardi gras season!

Bam- years ago one of my friends was in some southern Illinois town (I think there was a family get together or something) and they couldn't find any place to eat. They saw some kids about 8 and 10 years old riding their bikes and asked them if there were any fast food places around. The younger kid started listing places and said, "If you want some real good eatin', there's Hardees." The other kid said, "Yep, that's good eatin!" Cutest thing ever. I think of that every time someone mentions Hardees.
Bambam -Killer Joe is one FUCKED UP movie. But Premium Rush was pretty good!

Today has been the worst day EVER. My car broke down 25 miles out of town today. Then I spent all afternoon in Urgent Care because I fell and sprained my ankle. I had soo much to get down today and was supposed to work tonight and make lots of $$ and now I'm not sure if I will be able to. Thank God this awful year will be ovah in a few hours.

Damn. I just bought me some new Tims at the mall and when I passed thru the food court I was tempted to bring home some Popeye's chicken. I decided against spending all that money on some damn chicken but the only thing that made me think twice was a large (maybe two) cup of red beans and rice. I know it can't be as good as down home made but ohhhh man that stuff is good.

You should have done it Bam! I would punch a bitch in the face for a two piece and a biscuit right now! Their redbeans, though different from usual homemade(it's spicier, as are a lot of red beans in restaurants, the consistency as far as creaminess is spot on), actually isn't bad, I like to dip my chicken in it and eat it. XD, I think I'm torn between the beans and the fries. Their Onion rings are also really good. Along time back they use to serve blueberry muffins for breakfast with this white frosting glaze on top, it wasn't a donut type glaze, i really don't know what it was, but it was fucking AMAAAAAZING and their muffins were so moist and delicious!
