ICYMI: Sister Jude Does The Name Game On American Horror Story
On FX last night, American Horror Story: Asylum got electro shock therapy and for a few hazy minutes there it thought it was an episode of Glee. Jessica Lange made it rain Emmys when she got all Dusty Springfield and Ann Margaret while singing The Name Game. I really hope this means that there will be a Glee/AHS crossover episode, because I really want to see Pepper and the glee club from Briarcliff Mental Institution snatch away the nationals trophy from New Directions.

Waited and waited to watch this series and it finally hit Netflix. I was SO disappointed. It's all sex and excuses to show nudity. I felt the same about "True Blood".

The best thing about the show is that there is no freaking way to predict where it's going to go. As soon as you think you have it figured out it veers off in a completely different direction.
No. It is random for random sake. It is incoherent and comes across as such. Which is why it is inferior to the 1st season by far.
About 20 years ago, i was working at Tower Records in Hollywood.
I met A LOT of celebs in that store, but the one i'll never forget was Jessica Lange.
I was at the front counter, and she walked up to me. She didnt want to pay for anything, she just wanted to talk. I remember she was wearing a cool vintage Levis jacket, and she said "it must be so much fun to work here". We chatted for a few minutes - there was something SO FUCKING COOL about her. She was real laid-back, and OOZED sex appeal.
Jessica Lange is someone SPECIAL.

I thought I ate something wrong at first when this came on - like I was tripping or something. Don't watch Glee, don't get the reference really but overall it was fun to see Jessica shimmy and shake :) She looked good. (no spoilers whew! I so want to discuss spolier items!)

Glad Dylan McDermott has a much reduced role this season -- he made S1 hard to get through.
Lange, Glenn Close and Streep came up in the movies at about the same time. Lange is the only one whose face looks alienish. It's a shame she did this to herself.
Jessica Lange is fantastic in this show.
...as much as I despise Glee with the white hot intensity of a thousand suns, I'm glad to see AHS added at least one moment of levity...
...First season was an unrelenting mix of unsympathetic characters wrapped in mercilessly joyless plot developments...
...Jessica Lange is amazing...and the work she had done has healed beautifully...

I like this season a lot more than the first season. The first season never really made any sense in terms of what the ghosts actually wanted.
This season is just much, much more coherent in terms of plot.

Hahaha, but seriously, Joseph Fiennes in a cassock is all kinds of wrong/right. As a lapsed Roman Catholic, I can't even begin to explain how confusing it is.
I've not seen any episodes of this since the first part of the Anne Frank story but what I've already seen? Some of the best TV in ages and yes, James Cromwell is amazing in it.

This show is a giant ball of crazy and I love it. I love all of the actors, honestly. I think they all do an amazing job and I wouldn't replace a single one of them.
Britneys cheap -- totally. I looked away for a few seconds and then all of a sudden I heard "The Name Game" and I was literally like WTF??? And I'm really good at singing "The Name Game" so I was singing along; it was a lot of fun!

This was a mess but for some reason I couldn't stop watching. All the actors are really amazing. Even when they slipped in the Glee crap it fit in as if it was a bad acid trip unfolding in front of my eyes. I am not a Glee fan, I can't stand those whiny actors on it. But AHS is just another world. For those talking smack about Jessica Lange's face, I do believe she has not had intensive work done. Her face is growing old and she looks great. You can see all her wrinkles during her scene, she is the real deal.

If you look at movies she was in about ten years ago, you could tell the work she had done was excessive. She could barely move her face. But like I said in an earlier post, I think her face has settled into the work that was done and is fabulous here.
I didn't watch this episode yet. Can't wait.
