Open Post: Hosted By The Classiest Look Of The Night
Halle Berry instantly became my Best Dressed of the Golden Globes last night when she walked onto the red carpet looking a train full of crazy and a train full of tacky crashed into her at the same time. Halle finally wore a gown that perfectly describes her current mental state. That mess of a dress was designed by Donatella Versace, but it looks more like one of Ed Hardy's used cum rags. I swear I've seen that same pattern on a muscle t-shirt worn by a douchebag who was bouncing his head to a techno song in his electric yellow BMW while stopped at a red light.
Everything about Halle's dress is demure from the slit to the cut out to the way the bottom of her dress looks like a dirty clear shower curtain. That's what my clear shower curtain looked like after I washed the red Manic Panic out of my hair. And if Halle wanted to wear a dress that made her left tit look like it was clinging to her right tit out of fear, she picked the right one! Who wouldn't want to wear a dress that makes their titties look like they're doing the slow wall slide to the right? Wall slide titties are so in right now.

I reaaaaaalllly don't want to be in the middle of this, but I am getting a little frustrated at the shit she's continually talking about him, and aside from listening to them both bitch about the other, I have for the most part stayed out of it, and kept my opinions to myself, but I can't stand by and be a shoulder for this chick when she continually dogs MY FRIEND, especially when I know alot of it isn't true. How do I go about telling her to shut the fuck up, without losing my temper and keeping myself out of it?

Simple, very simple. You don't lose your temper, you tell her what the deal is. She's your friend, stuff she confides in to you stays with you. You give him the SAME consideration BECAUSE HE IS YOUR FRIEND.
You feel caught up between the two of them and you don't want that, you hoped they could work it out for themselves. You don't know what it was, mixed messages between them, fear of speaking up, not reading between the lines, etc.
Bottom line is he's not into her as she is into him and he's told you so, many times. (Hopefully, what you've observed between them validates your opinion, i.e. he hasn't lead her on.)
Tell her you're understanding but he's your friend, you don't wanna take sides. Maybe he should have been clearer, more forceful. Maybe she needs to understand she can't have her way, not every guy you like is meant to be with you.
Don't get mad, stay on point. She get mad, tell her look, you're being a friend to both of them.

I am a big believer in ginger, honey, lemon tea. I am now drinking that just to keep my luck going good. I don't believe in vaccines, because I always got sick when I took them, so now I am going the "ounce of prevention" route.
So go out and buy some fresh ginger, some good local honey (look in an organic, groovy type food store and see if they have any; if not, get manuka if you can) and some lemons, and sip tea made from them every ngiht.

That's the thing though, she actually has a boyfriend NOW...My guy friend and her don't even work together anymore because he got a job in his field as soon as he graduated this past semester. I've tried to do the whole, ya know, out of sight out of mind suggestion to her, and focusing on the boyfriend she now has, but everytime we hang out she manages to sneak a jab in about him at some point. I am just at the point where I just want to burst and tell her everything he told me, just to shut her down, but I know if I do that, it'll create "MOAR Drama" and then I'll be smack dab in the middle of it. Exactly where I don't wanna be. :(
And thats the thing, I am "the listener" amongst my friends too. Just today a friend was telling me about her crackhead baby daddy and all the hell he was putting her through, and I wanted to be like "okay I have to go" after half an hour of this, but then she did the whole, "I'm really glad I'm talking to you right now because you're helping remember all this important stuff I need to keep track of and write down" yadda yadda, so she kind of put me in a tight spot. Even though you try to stay out of it, and be that good friend who listens, it's draining.

I don't think it's unreasonable to say that since you are friends with both of them you are uncomfortable with her talking to you about him. Give her some tough love advice and tell her to move on.
ETA: I had to give the it's time to move on speech to a friend last year. She was mad at me and didn't talk to me for 4 months...but she came back and apologized saying I was right. I was such a good listener for so long but it got so tiring!

I have these two friends, a guy and a chick...the chick was interested in the guy, and the guy only ever liked her as a friend. I know this because he told me this multiple times and expressed is uneasiness with her constantly throwing herself at him(she doesn't know he told me any of this), he told me he didn't find her attractive(she's really not), and that it would be a shitty idea in the first place considering they worked together at the time, but that he was trying not to hurt her feelings. I can attest for some of his claims because everytime we hung out, he'd always get a text from her. And he'd roll his eyes and show me the texts, and they were fucking ridiculous. So anyway, I guess some shit went down between them, and she's been talking shit about him ever since, how he led her on, and how he's an asshole, and how she wasted so much time on someone not worth it. The reality is, I know that some of that is bullshit. Like I said, he's told me several times before this happened he wasn't interested in her than anything but a FRIEND and she was becoming a pest. From what I gather from the inbetween(out-side sources of other than he said/she said) he finally told her to back off, and that's what got her panties in a knot. @Whamo -- i have worked on a few of death penalty cases LA County and San Diego County residents might remember but probably non-CA people have never heard of them. i was never assigned to their cases but have met some of the highly publicized death row inmates in the SQ visiting room over a period of years (for example, Richard Ramirez and Toukie Wms).
