The Skinny On Fashion

 

Italian fashion brand Nolita used 27-year-old Isabelle Caro for their new ads which are being displayed all over Milan during fashion week.

 

Isabella has suffered from anorexia since she was 13. She weighs just 64lbs. She agreed to pose naked for the campaign, because she wants to show young people the dangers of her disease. 

 

Nolita said their aim was "'to use the naked body to show everyone the reality of this illness, caused in most cases by the stereotypes imposed by the world of fashion."

 

Giorgio Armani spoke out about the ad by saying fashion and anorexia necessarily don't go hand in hand. "Anorexia has reasons which are not linked to fashion. Even people who take no notice of fashion get anorexic."

 

When I first saw this ad, I thought it was photoshopped! Eeeek! But you know I'm sure Angelina Jolie and those other skinny celebs don't look much different naked.

Sad. After seeing this ad I totally need to go eat a plate of steak fat, cheese grease and wash it down with a buttermilk shake.
