Madonna Looks So.....Surprised
Madonna was on "Today" this morning to discuss her new chicken cutlets. Actually, she was on to talk to creepy Ann Curry about her documentary called "I Am Because We Are." It's about orphans in Malawi.
She also talked to Ann about her own experiences with adopting little David Banda. Madge said the adoption process has been difficult, confusing and invasive. She said she has been finger printed 20 times and has had social workers come through her home. Of course it's fucking difficult! She's adopting a kid not buying a Volkswagen.
Madge's faux British accent was intact through the whole interview. You know, it didn't bother me. I was too distracted with Ann Curry's creepy soft "interview voice." The bitch has serial killer voice! It's the voice you hear after you've been kidnapped and tied up at the bottom of a well. The serial killer crawls down, holds you, strokes your hair and tells you in creepy Ann Curry voice that everything will be okay. I'd rather hear Madge's phoney British accent than Ann's phoney "I care" voice.

Madonna LUVS plastic surgery. Not that she gets so much, she just always known she's gonna need it. And, if you think X-tina is bad with the make up, I ask you: where do you think she learned that shit?
I can't help it - I love her. She can, in fact, dance, even if she can't sing really or make music. (well, she CAN sing now, but I've been listening to her train for the last 20 odd years, that's fersure.)I always, since I was young, understood her to be a business woman. And I was jealous because I could never be so ruthless to "win at life" the way she has. I do believe she has good intentions, generally, but that her selfishness and ego issues get in the way all the time.
I wonder if she ever kicks herself for her involvement in turning the entertainment industry into the kind of evil money-making machine that it is today. I really hope so.
I do know that some of her ideas have been warped and bastardized...and I always feel badly for her when people say she's "bitchy". Exacting women through the centuries have been called "bitchy" (in one way or another). I don't know about you but trying to get people to do things the way I think they should be done is like pulling teeth for me...and for her, if they fuck it up, the whole world knows. I think that could make anyone bitchy. I will admit, tho, that in recent years some of her behaviour has just been bizarre.
*sigh* I just can't not believe it when she talks about David. Maybe she's adopted him just to raise awareness about how hard it is for an individual to just up and decide to care for those kids...I dunno - I haven't even tried to see this movie. If it comes around, I'll catch it.
At this point, I'm starting to consider that moving to a third world country and helping them over there might actually be the best lifestyle move any of us (but mostly celebritities) could make.
Oy. Just thinking out loud.
PS. I fucking hate Cary Grant Accent 2.01! It makes her sound like that fakest faker in Fakeland, New Fakey. She started out almost normal. What happened?!?
