Nick Hogan Gets 8 Months In County Jail
Nick Bollea aka Nick Hogan was sentenced to 8 months in county jail starting immediately. 17-year-old Nick pleaded "no contest" on charges of felony reckless driving. The charges stem from a car crash last August which left his passenger and friend, John Graziano, with serious brain injuries. Nick was racing another car at speeds up to 100mph when his car hit a palm tree. A few hours later, booze was found in his bloodstream.
John will most likely spend the rest of his life in a nursing home.
The judge also suspended his drivers license for 3 years. He was also given 5 years probation, 500 hours of community service and he cannot drink during his probation. He will have to complete a booze education program within the year.
The judge heard statements from the Graziano family as well as the Bollea family. Brooke's stupid ass got up there looking like a call girl on her lunch break, crying about how "this is why she hates being a celebrity." It's all about her!
Before being sentenced, Nick told the judge, "I'll never, ever be able to tell John 'sorry' enough times to make up for what happened on Aug. 26. I loved John to death. He was like my oldest brother and my best friend. I'm ready to take my punishment."
I hope he's ready to take big cock too, because that's what he's going to have to do in jail. If you ask me, this dumb whore got off easy.

I don't even think the drinking was the cause of the accident. Nick was drag racing with someone and he also had a string, at his young age, of speeding warnings and tickets. The judge said he was given a warning once and, within minutes, was stopped again speeding and was ticketed.
The judge seemed to put more emphasis on Nick's bad driving record than the drinking.

KnobGoblin you are right about one thing, a 23 year old has little in common with a 17 year old. Dumb ass should of never been hanging out with the teen. But driving under the influence (and I bet this little spoiled douche has done it often), is just dumb. OK, I feel bad for what happened to the Graziano kid, but am I the only one that thinks he had some responsibility too?

So to make it look like her kid is all innocent, is kind of silly.
Not because you're the one that ended up the vegetable, it doesn't mean that you should be without black or RESPONSIBILITY for your damn life.
Also, it is sickening that this Nick Bollea is so cold.
If killing someone with a car whilst drunk is vehicular manslaughter, then why isn't maiming someone with a car whilst drunk driving attempted VM or at least grievous bodily harm, or aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. I hope the palm tree's family sue his pants off.

I just happened to catch Brookes statement live on a video feed. Lame shit with crying and stuff, but then she got nasty toward the Graziano family. Saying something to the affect of 'some of the people who got up saying how close they were to John were the same people John told me weren't nice people. I heard this from John myself.....' I'm really paraphrasing, but it was something along those lines. She also alluded to being celebrities (lol) and people wanting things from them because they are famous. She came off as very nasty towards John's family.
Nick's lawyer also stated that they got the Grazianos hotel rooms and rented a condo for them and made it seem like the Hogans were supporting the Grazianos after the accident. The Graziano's lawyer got up after and stated that they Graziano's never received money from the Hogans.
Honestly, the Hogans and their lawyers were really trying to make the Graziano's look bad.

Since he's only 17, that 5 years will put him just over the legal drinking age. And, yeah, I drank when I was 17, but I didn't drink and drive. I still don't.
LA - yes, John should have shown a bit more personal responsibility by NOT getting into the car with Nick, but he didn't. Both were drinking, both had clouded judgement, but in the end. Nick is the one who is at fault.
Was it John's foot on the gas pedal? His hands on the steering wheel?
I didn't think so.
I bet he spent the last 9 months learning how to keep a tight grip on a bar of soap.

For the most part they were good kids, I was young myself when I watched them but the town is small so you know everyone. I watched them when Hulk did things in the town (the rec center) with them and he got bombarded. My father worked for the town in a high position so I was trusted.
They live down the road now but still the same general area.

Im reading a book called lovely bones about the worst possible crime that could ever happen to someone and how although the perpetrator of the crime is never punished criminally for his actions, he suffers vastly in other ways, and eventually eternally after death. Driving drunk is irresponsible and letting someone drive drunk is irresponsible. Both are at fault. Now one is paying for it with his life. I am not comfortable just putting all the blame on Nick.

This is gonna sound lame, but I saw this Lifetime movie, based off a true story of course. This same thing happened to a group of girls. Expect her friend died. She also got a very light sentence which pissed the family of the girl off and everyone hated her. Regardless of the fact that both girls were drunk that night. Neither one was capable of making good or lifesaving decisions.
My point is, there is no one to really blame. This is an extremely painful and sad situation. Its a lesson to be learned. Pointing fingers just seems pointless, both were drunk and I really think responsible for what happened.
