I Totally Forgot About This Shit
The trailer for the second X-Files movie is out. I totally forgot they were making this shit. The other day I was wondering where the hell Gillian Anderson went. I figured she was busy playing Lady Macbeth in some community theater in the Midwest or something. No! She was busy making this shit. There's bad news about the sequel. Amanda Peet is in it. Not Amanda Peet! She ruins everything. She ruins Christmas!
Anyway, above is the preview for The X-Files: I Want To Believe. Love, the title. I hope Celine Dion sings the title song. "I Want to Believe" sounds like one of her cheese diddies. This shit hits movie theaters July 25th.
Actually my avatar, Ms Anderson that is, was busy with theatre, Golden Globe noms, more films and a new baby. (Ooops, she's in London, does that count?)
She's an amazing AMAZING actress.
oooo can't wait! i've been watching the series on my ipod lately and i'm up to the middle of season two. hopefully i'll be all caught up by the time i see the movie.

I'm not delusional--I know it's not going to win any Oscars, but come on, it's The X-Files! How can you not be excited???
And yes, Amanda Peet ruins everything. I was devastated when I found out she was in it.
I love X-Files but WTF is this movie about??? And they totally f-cked up the song.

I loved the X-Files (as least the early seasons), but since the first movie sucked, I have little hope for this one.
Gillian Anderson is fucking beautiful, like someone out of a Sargent portrait.

Her features are gorgeous (and I loved that, in spite of her looks, the costume people kept her frumpy for the first few seasons since it fit the character)
Not sure what to think about this movie. I enjoyed the show a lot when I was a kid (Hell, my signature is even from there... *nerd*), but I'm not particularly excited by the promos so far.

When life stops being worth it, is it time to quit?
The first movie didn't do it for me. Hard to imagine the second one will be better, but who knows. I will watch it when I see it on a used dvd.
Think I really loved about the show was its portrayal of tractor-trailer trucks as instruments of evil. Everytime I see a bunch of semis at a warehouse with people milling about, I smile and imagine alien carcasses being transported.
I lost interest in the show as soon as that shape-shifting martian came on the scene. They just seemed to lose the edginness at that point.
I was always amused that that actor who played muldauer (can't even remember his name), felt the show was holding him back and moved on to bigger and better things--like obscurity. Bitch ought to be cutting the ribbon at grocery store renovations by this time.
Can't say I'm going to see that one. Maybe once it's released on DVD

GWAR - Best Band Ever
The last few seasons of the show sucked. Making Scully pregnant and pandering to romance freaks at the end of its run, ruined the show. And the best seasons were 1-5 before that lame first flick.
Holy shit, I'm obsessed with the show. I'll definitely be there for the movie.
I do believe this trailer makes no sense.

I know we'll pull out the boxed sets and get all excited, like we did with the first movie, then were soo disappointed. I hope this one turns out to be worth it. It costs a family of four, a hundred bucks to go to the movies on a friday night these days! Pisses me off when the movies are crap!
