Oh and I think it's great she makes Simon speechless. He hates her but if I was her I think I'd love knowing that.

It beats watching lame pasty nervous looking newbies singing a rendition of a hit song. Basically everyone on Idol.
I don't even like this fucking show but I thought she was great. Her appearance probably doesn't suit Simon (not tweezed or bleached blond or size 0) but tough shit. It was entertaining.
Anyone who has even been on stage knows how hard it is to own that space and look natural. She pulls it off.
She also looks like she has toned up a little too so good for her. She was singing fast ans yeah hard to understand some lyrics but it beats the cheesy slow ballads some Idol people choose. She's a natural performer. I heard she also didn't have such an easy life before hand so this makes me like her more- she's tough and she went for it. How can I knock that?

Ok hasn't she had on braces for like 5 years now??

i actually enjoyed it. this season is so friggin boring that it was nice to see something different for the sake of different and not because they're telling us it's different. while i enjoy simon's criticisms he has no taste really.

fantasia actually has a career along with carrie and clay.

I LOVED her performance just now it was a lot of fun. people need to take the sticks out of their asses because they've been watching BORING american idol for too long.

she reminds me of why i USED to like American Idol. now, they have these boring white bread kids who are just "perfect" for tv.

Fantasia was a trainwreck then, she is a trainwreck now but can sing and she's entertaining and lively.

I actually bought her first album. I loved the performance. I can't hate on her.

Honest to God, this is no joke, I believe Ryan introduced the song as "Bore Me". It must be something off some album of hers. Now, that certainly wasn't a boring performance, but it was very appropriate name for the show as a whole this year.

OMG, I thought I was the only one who thought Ruben had, and still has, one of the best voices of any winner of AI. I was happy to hear them using his cover of Celebrate Me Home when they showed the contestants exit videos.

I loved Luther Vandross and Ruben definitely has a voice very similar to his. Listening to Ruben's version of Superstar still brings a tear to my eye. I love it.

I never laughed so hard in my life. The directors are either dumb or don't like Fantasia for them to show Simon during her performance. The look on his face was the single funniest thing ever on the show, besides her actual performance. I like the end of her performance too, when they showed Simon rolling his eyes at Randy, like saying 'can you believe what we just saw?' It was priceless.

I am usually not one to pick on someones weight, but I also noticed that she packed on a good 20+.

She has a lot of energy and I remember that when she was in AI she COULD actually sing. However, she was all over the place, doing exactly what the judges told her not to do when she was competing and screaming like a banshee. It makes me think it was somehow done on purpose. She was like "FUCK IT!, I ALREADY WON BUT YOU NEVER BACKED ME UP SO SCREW YOU AI!." It was a weird performance but a very entertaining one. I have not watched many episodes of AI (I have to admit that I have never watched a whole season either), but every new season has just made it more clear to me: I haven't missed much.

At the end she said she is ready to perform on stage. The stage of the Pomona Fair. Actually, more like the Chino Auction.

That was unimaginably horrible. Watching it on TV, I thought that it had to be some kind of a joke. I cannot believe that the producers allowed it.

I didn't watch AI the year that she was a contestant. Was she always this bad? How far did she get before she was eliminated? *shakes head* Maybe I'm missing something but I'm just not seeng her appeal. At all.

Is it just me or did anyone else notice that Ryan Seacrest seemed to put as much distance between them as possible? If he had moved farther away from her he would have been out of camera range. He's usually so touchy-feely, I think he may have wet himself when she tried to lay a big smooch on him at the end.
