I KNOW he's doing Elmo. I'm totally convinced that the "Tickle Me Elmo" craze that happened in the early 90s had more to do with the fact that it was basically a fuzzy vibrator. could she be an international character? I know the Polish Sesame Street has some different characters in addition to the faves. We have a very cute dragon named Bazyli, and a few more monsters that aren't on the US show. I imagine that most international sesame streets have characters that work for their countries. We have a famous legend of the dragon that lived in Wawel castle, so ours has a dragon.
