This woman just CANNOT act. Good to know that I missed absolutely nothing when I turned off Alexander after about 30 seconds. If I want to see a movie about your Average Joe rising up to become a badass, then I'll just watch Fight Club.

The part where Angelina has her arms up-- about a third in maybe- right around the fly wings part- you can see how tiny they are. Her upper arms don't taper, flair anywhere- nothing- just straight sticks. And the veins on her neck are strained, and you can see the veins in her forehead- an she's supposed to be in a relaxed position.

If this character is supposed to be strong and like a super woman, I am surprised they didnt ask her to get a little more buff/ meaty, a la Tomb Raider. She looks like she's 100 pounds tops, and at 5'7", that's a scary weight.

That would require a sense of humor or comedic timing, Angie Jo isn't lucky enough to have either. She is stuck doing roles like this or roles where she plays someone crazy-it's like going to work and playing yourself in the role.

This movie has a decent cast (other than the walking skeleton), so it probably will do well. I'll probably watch it on HBO.

Just a little FYI...I saw "The Strangers" this past weekend. It was ok at first, but after an hour I kept thinking "get on with it!" I don't know...sort of...blah.

I just got a rave review for the strangers from a friend who saw it. for what that's worth.

I remember how skinny angelina was when she was making this movie. that kind of seemed weird for an action movie. but somewhere along the way I decided I would see this movie. I dunno maybe everyone needs to see an action movie now and then?

angelina is in the thinspiration section of a lot of pro ana sites. her what nourishes me destroys me tattoo may refer to anorexia because it (in latin like the tattoo) is there, too. the most common photo: she's in her undies and stockings posing sexily on a toilet. these sites also often have mary kate olsen (ana) but usually not ashley olsen (not).

I would not recommend anyone visit these sites if they are at risk of being triggered. being underweight causes many health problems even if you aren't starving or engaging in other dangerous ed behaviors. I realize most people know this... :)

I understand what you mean about the critic's needing to get over their comedy bias, but then again, how many times has Eddie done that same schtick? The only really funny parts were with the Asian man - the story itself was kind of, "eh."

I haven't been able to read the NYT for awhile now and am completely out of the loop as far as new releases goes - what new movies are coming out that look good besides "The Stranger" and "The Dark Knight" (the only movies I've heard of before school took over my life)? Like what action films are coming in the summer?

Um, Eddie is a comedian and thats what he does. I think critics should have been more understanding if thats why they didn't like the film. Some critics were disgusted about how big people were portrayed and also Eddie played a Chinese man, which some didn't approve of, but I thought it was a funny movie.

I don't think it will be a bad movie. It looks predictable but no one really knows what to expect. I don't...all I know is I love Angelina on screen...love it when she kicks ass. The cast is great and the stunts look incredible. I think their are a good ix of action movies and superhero movies coming out this year. I think some good comedies too.

I know what you mean. I hardly ever read TV reviews, but movie reviews I can't get enough of. Movies they usually hate, I sorta like, like Norbit. I thought that movie was really funny.

Her VF pics were very nice. Loved them. I would have to say that was one of the best shoots she has done since she got with Brad, I agree with you on that one picture of her, its a picture from a era before Brad. I mean she posed like that even before BBT. Of course I love Angie just as much now as I did then so...

I'm ADDICTED to reading reviews on just about everything - the NYT's is my crack. And the funny thing is, the movies that critics love, I usually hate (i.e. There Will Be Blood) and the ones they loathe I like (i.e. Bones, the Snoop Dogg movie - don't ask).

I actually really liked her VF pics, oddly enough. The one with the black wig and her finger in her mouth was very BBT era Angie. I liked her then.

Thank you. You're right about taking reviews with a grain of salt. No matter how a review is, I go and see the film anyway, because I want to see it. I still loving reading them though for some reason.
