This Shit Isn't Out Yet?
I could have sworn I've seen this shit already. I guess when you've seen one movie with Angelina Jolie in black leather shooting a gun, you've seen them all. Above is the new trailer for "Wanted" which comes out at the end of this month. It also stars James McAvoy, Morgan Freeman and Terence Stamp. Yes, Bernadette Bassenger is in this crap. His presence almost makes it worth the $12.
Seeing Angie's bare arms in the trailer has given me a sudden craving for Grissini breadsticks.

I'm all for mindless action so I'll watch this crap when it comes out on HBO.
However it doesn't look like it'll be that great and the plot is very far fetched. And they should fire whomever made the trailer. Trailers are supposed to make you want to see the movie not showcase all of it's flaws so your sitting there thinking who wrote that crap and who would pay $12 to see it?!?! Too bad because I really like Morgan Freeman.

This movie looks pretty badass to me.
Why are some "actresses", and I use that term loosely, employed not to act but pout and strike poses? If she really had to shoot a gun, she'd fall backward from the kick back, and possibly shatter her spaghetti arms.

This movie looks like an extremely lame Matrix knock-off. Morgan Freeman is not nearly as masculine and in-charge as Lawrence Fishburn, and is way too smiley. James McAvoy's character has even less balls than Angelina's current life partner. We are supposed to cheer for a glum, self-effacing geek with an attitude? Angelina Jolie is trying hard to be as cool and chic as Carrie Ann-Moss, but she is more like Scary Brain-Loss, with sort of a loose, vacuous expression throughout the trailer, and the extensive tramp stamps only add to the impression that her cloying sexuality is of the bottom-of-the-barrel kind.
The moral element is somewhat disturbing too. "Kill one, save a thousand." It is reminiscent of Hitler philosophy and the eugenics movement. The assassins are killing people before they have even done anything; yet, they are supposed to be what, admirable anti-heroes? Who knows. Their target is some guy sitting in a meeting room in a skyscraper; those with a knowledge of history cannot help but recall the demonization of the stereotypical "heartless capitalist" who deserves to be killed by the gallant Nazis/Fascists for opposing government social programs. This movie's theme smacks of a childish mentality that thinks that whatever it believes is true, everyone else is wrong, and the ends justify the means, as long as you strike modelling poses while doing it.
Slap my face and call me Zahara, but this trailer makes me moist.

And McAvoy was great in all he has done but he was SUPERB in 'Rory O'Shea Was here' (also titled Inside I'm Dancing I think.. overseas) played an Irish crippled guy.. truly the talent of a young Daniel Day Lewis. See that movie if you haven't. Amazing and so well done.

Clarisse - I have both of em! I only saw bits and pieces of Mirrormask and really liked it and my bf went out and bought it for me the next day. I haven't had the chance to sit and watch yet though. Pan's Lab was beautiful. I loved every second of it.
