The cover I have heard that I've liked the most is Mark Ronsons, he did a cover of Toxic, with a cameo by BIGGIE, how cool is that, but then again Mark Ronson is the shit.

There are many artists who stand with a guitar, and still suck, so that combo doesnt necessarily mean talent nor quality. Neither does Britney for that instance, however, take into consideration were talking about EMMYS not GRAMMYS. Emmys is for visual design, entertainment value, etc. - what your referring to is more a question of musical talent, which is more of a Grammy scenario.
Dont forget there are many singers, who stand up and shout, and shout, to make there points across and still are B-O-R-I-N-G. I've never been to a Britney concert but did catch a glimpse of it on HBO, she is without having to say not a vocal powerhouse, but she is still captivating, something other singers who have tried to copy her ie: pussy cat dolls, etc etc cannot duplicate because people are entertained watching HER, back when she was sane, and now that shes nuts.
