What Bonnaroo Thinks Of Kanye
Earlier I posted about how a bunch of bitches at Bonnaroo got mad at Kanye West for being almost 2 hours late to his set. They chanted "Kanye Sucks" and threw glow sticks at the stage. Hardcore shit. Well, they also left him a lovely parting gift on the port-a-potties.

In Kanye's defense, he does have talent as a producer... that is the reason JayZ plucked his ass from the south side to NYC...
Kanye is not from the "ghetto"--this is just another hip-hop marketing ploy where many rappers propogate the mythology (either directly or indirectly) that they grew up in South Central, Cabrini Green, etc. Kanye is from the suburbs, as is Ice Cube. They didn't grow up in the projects, no matter how much their records say they did--or how much they'd like you to believe it. Even Diana Ross did this back in the day. Yes, she grew up in Brewster Projects, but she essentially had a middle-class upbringing. However, "ghetto girl makes good" sells more records.

I was there and it seemed like a lot of people wanted to check him out "just cause" and were probably excited because every other act on the main stage was huge. I was all about seeing performances that I never thought I would get to experience.
He had the stage and blew it...Jack Johnson and Pearl Jam packed the grounds earlier (and ROCKED) and didn't use any gimmicks/personas. Also, someone threw a gallon jug of water and one of the huge screens and dented it- dang.
Besides, there were plenty of other things to do at that time of morning (instead of waiting) if you still had the energy.

As a Chicagoan, I definitely can relate to what the folks at Bonaroo felt, as Kanye was late to his own homecoming performance on MANY occasions. I laughed when he blamed the sound guys @ lollapalooza a couple years ago for effing up his sound, when in actuality it was A-Traks fault for not having his rig set-up correctly.
I think Kanye needs to buy himself a platinum watch that actually works and start giving his fans a little respect, rather than acting like CeCe Penniston @ some gay club in the bahamas....
