I don't know anything for sure. but there are many insinuations from people who do know all over the internet and other things I have picked up here and there.

britney's behavior matches up to someone who has been put into situations they weren't ready to handle. when she was a kid she held it together then she kept lashing out doing one thing after another to separate herself from certain people. this would include marrying kfed. when she cut lynne out of her life and refused to ask her for help.

when she shaved her hair off. I have stood in the ladies room with a lady who I know for a fact was gang raped as a child and she was doing something very similar. it was horrible. she hid the truth from her parents. they thought it was because she drank too much. no one could really help her when she became self destructive. just like britney.

but this is my alternate explanation as to why he seems guilty or regretful. someone else had a worse scenario. really I hope I am guessing wrong.

even in her prime she wasn't the most gorgeous and talented girl. that is not what disney wants.. they look for a more ordinary type who has a better figure than most girls her age. then they make her look sexy even as they pretend it was not their intention.

I think jamie wants britney to be able to be a mom. then he looks at her and sees she can't handle it. maybe he is hoping that will change. he loves britney so he is going to hold out more hope for her.
