Ever heard of the term "genderqueer"? Many people do not perceive themselves as solely male or female, but identify with both (or neither) genders.

Unfortunately on this one, I disagree, and for two reasons:

1) Have you ever read aboout the first test-tube baby, Louise Brown (b.1978)? That was a TRUE technological advance, and yet that poor child was held up to ridicule for much of her life by uneducated fools who felt it was against "God's Will", and/or was the first step down a slippery slope of unethical medical techniques. These days invitro is common, but Louise Brown would probably beg to differ with your view on this child's future.

2)Thomas and his companion have made every effort to remain in the news and want Thomas to be recognized as the first man to give birth, which simply isn't true. If nothing else, their efforts at remaining in the spotlight give me an uneasy certainty that this child will be as much an opportunity for fame to them as anything else. I hope I am wrong, but they don't give me much reason to think otherwise.
