I don't know how long Tom was into all that but it seems to me it wasn't SO important while he was with Nicole - or that he didn't try to drag her deep into it right away. When I was 12, I went on school trip to France. I had a epileptic attack & was sent home for tests, etc... All tests came back fine & docs said it was a one off attack. (It was because I've not had one since) I was never put on medication for it.

one new year's a friend and I decided to drink only champagne! I don't drink that much and usually only had a few (3 or less) when we went out. I hadn't counted on there's lots of free champagne on new year's ... especially for girls!
