Elisabeth Hasselbarf got all emotional on "The View" today while talking about the use of the "N" word. It all started when the group of hens started yapping about Jessie Jackson using the word in a news tape on Fox News. Elisabeth tried to argue that we all live in the same world and so nobody should use that word ever, because of the children. Think of the children!
That's when Whoopi turned on and told Elisabeth that we don't live in the same world, and that the word is only as powerful as we allow it to be. The fake bitch didn't understand this shit so she started breaking down.
You know when you hear bad news and you don't really care about it, but you think you should care about it, so you try and force the tears to come out? That's what Elisabeth was doing. Bitch needs to learn the "pull your pubic hairs" technique to bring on the real tears.
Ugh. She's so annoying! I just wanted Whoopi to calmly walk over and slap her in the teeth. That would've made the bitch cry for real.
Thank God for crazy ass Barbara Walters who saved the day with her zany tongue.

This is sooooo not pc, and I hope I get it clear. I can't speak for everyone, but I know a lot of whites who use that word because they think they are cool, hip, and trendy. They think it shows they are the hippest liberals around. Calling each other that proves they don't care about race, and a word is just a word. Perhaps it implies some sort of "street cred". The crossover of rap and hip hop into mainstream has made it a lot worse. I know teenage boys who think that because they listen to music that uses that word, they like that music, so it's ok for them to use that word. I don't think it's ever ok to say that word, no matter who you are. If you're black and you use that word, whether as an endearment to a friend or not, to another person overhearing you, it sounds like you're shitting on your own. Just like that fucktard with the Jew joke yesterday, who claimed he was a Jew. You don't shit on your own kind! There are enough assholes out there that will do that already, you adding to it doesn't help. Then you have your straight-up hardcore assholes who are true bigots that are hiding behind the argument, "If you use it, I can use it, too, that's reverse discrimination, you're not better than me, blah blah blah" Which, yeah, ok, technically, if you want to say that, it is correct. But it's right for the wrong reasons. There are some people that are not going to stop using it in a derogatory fashion, until there is a law or mandate against it. And it's such a shitty word to use. It means stupid and stingy. You're uneducated and a tightwad. Why should anybody want to use that term? Far be it for me to defend EH, but the fact remains that certain words will always be divisive. The N-word was once divisive in that it was a hateful, demeaning epithet so ugly that it took on a deep, dark cultural significance. The idea behind this word was so ugly that my generation of white Americans grew up in households where its use would have been severely punishable. We learned that it was a BAD word used by BAD people and that we should not judge anyone by their skin color. To this day, I have never said the word to anyone.
Now, it appears that the division is turning the other way- the N-word may be uttered (and is) only by those against whom it was once used, and it means whatever they want it to mean. Whites may not use it, because if we did, then it would mean exactly what it meant 150 years ago, even though none of us were alive then. And that would make us despicable. And we would feel despicable.
Conversations such as this one will lead to frustration and tears when people try to solve the issue logically, or "fairly". One group of people having the exclusive use of any word (and the exclusive right to determine its meaning) is divisive and always will be. It isn't logical and it certainly isn't fair, but it's the way it is.
I wouldn't be surprised if EH was sincerely brought to tears over this subject- right-wing or left-wing, in this instance, she represents pure white idealism: trying to be understanding, seeking an "equal" road for everyone... And she couldn't possibly get anywhere in this debate with someone like Whoopi, who has a stronger presence, is generally more articulate, and has the cold hard facts of modern-day reality on her side, regardless of whether her argument sounds fair or even rational.
Any woman who doesn't quite get this concept will understand it better when they remember how it feels different to be called the B-word by a man than it does by a woman. It isn't rational, but it's very real.
Elisabeth is a self righteous bitch and a mouthful elitist. She wants all of us to live in a society where equality exists, and no one should do harm to others. Yet, she supports the invasion of a sovereign nation, because of the fear she has for people she doesn't know.

I completely, 100%, TOTALLY understand and get how you feel. I will admit that I rarely, if ever talk about race because of the exact reasons you have stated. Strangely enoough, I have a friend who is mulatto, but who definitely looks more white than black. She has been accused on several occasions of making racist statements against both black people and white people, simply for stating her mind. In this day and age, it's unfortunate that almost any conversation about race is a lose-lose situation.
