Patrick Swayze Is A Miracle
It's Johnny Castle and he's looking better! Patrick Swayze arrived at LAX yesterday and told the paps, "I'm cookin'. I'm a miracle dude! I don't know why." I know why. My nightly chanting of "She's Like the Wind" must have paid off.
Since being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer earlier this year, Patrick has been receiving treatment at Stanford Medical Center. Patrick admitted to smoking up to 3 packs of ciggies a day and thinks that may have been a cause of his cancer. Last May, Patrick was photographed smoking a fag.
Patrick was at LAX to fly to Chicago to start shooting his new TV show called "The Beast." It's nice to see his ass looking hot. Hopefully, he quits the ciggies and continues to do well. I'm still waiting for a sequel to "Steel Dawn."

Good luck and love you Patrick! and good luck to anyone who has quit smoking or who is trying to quit. my day was a three pack a day smoker and yes, it eventually killled him; he smoked until the day he died. the thing is, cancer ran in his family and he knew this and still smoked like a goddamn chimney. rest in peace dad.

How much do you wanna bet that he's doing some kind of stem cell experiment for his cancer. With how fatal pancreatic cancer is, there just can't be anything out there that would make him recover so well.
Thank God! I cried when I heard his diagnosis. This is fantastic. Proof that one should never give up. Love to Patrick.

I quit smoking almost 2 years ago. There are times when I miss it but most other times it just gags me. It's very difficult to resist temptation during weak times since my hubby still smokes but I do it. It's simply not worth the damage it does to your body. I keep begging my hubster to quit. He watched both of his parents die from cig-related diseases(cancer & COPD), you would think that would be motivation enough for him. But I understand how hard it is to quit. I did it about a dozen times and relapsed. It's hard at times, but you still have a choice.

Missy, I think you made a very valid point and it was a nice break from the same humdrum repetition. It becomes tiresome to read the same perspectives, carbon copies of one another. This may only be a celebrity blog, but a little thought provocation never hurt anyone. No one is forced to respond.

Hey Jesus, I had the same results with Wellbutrin. Noticed after a few weeks on it that I didn't want my smokes so I just quit buying them. After 30 years I couldn't believe I was quitting without effort but once it snuck up on me like that I had to go for it. I couldn't believe how easy it made it to quit. Anyone who wants to quit smoking should talk to their doctor, that stuff works.

That's what people do here. Laugh and poke fun at celebs. Whether they be beat down druggies or sympathetic cancer patients. Everyone gets the same spit balls. But in the end that's all it is.
It just seems funny that you'd find that offensive on one day but not on others.

Smoked for 35+ years and love love love it. Yes we smokers are cooler than you non-smokers. Just the facts. But I'm tired of feeling like shit every day from the damn things and coughing up critters etc. and wheezing like a memaw. So am trying the Chantix stuff and it really seems to be working. I can't fucking believe I'm not smoking. Expensive but I think it's gonna work. Just a thought for anyone here trying to quit. Sucks to have nothing to do with my hands, tho. Hand jobs for everyone!!!
First time post and thanks to all of you for cracking me up daily. Funniest board ever. Am now addicted to you guys rather than cigs.
Just popping in to give my 2 cents.
I quit a 10 year smoking habit (I'm 28) nearly cold turkey almost by accident. I started taking Wellbutrin for depression and quit smoking about 3 weeks after. Even after the first couple of days a cigarette held no appeal and the smell was nauseating (as it probably is for most non-smokers).
Wellbutrin is the same chemical compound as the anti-smoking drug Zyban. I highly recommend it for anyone trying to quit. I tried (a bit half heartedly) several times over the years and couldn't get further than a few hours on my own!
I will admit that I sometimes crave the *idea* of a cigarette but it quickly goes away. It's so nice to be in a social situation now and not feel that overwhelming urge to sneak away for a smoke.
Also, I didn't gain a single pound. I think I may have even lost weight...
PS must be doing something right; he is a miracle.maybe it was all that dancing. =)

Totally agree with you. I personally am a little disgusted when I hear the 'die already skank' 'why don't you kill yourself now' comments, because they contribute nothing and aren't funny or intelligent opinions. Yes it's d-listed, but those types of comments seem ignorant. Just my opinion...
