After The Brawl
Nikki Blonsky and Bianca from "America's Next Top Model" were arrested last week for their part in a brawl that took place at an airport in Turks & Caicos. Nikki's dad is still in jail for allegedly beating down Bianca's mom, Elaine Golden. Elaine is still in the intensive care unit of a Miami hospital recovering from a broken nose and cracked skull.
Bianca's family told The New York Post their side of the story. They said it all started when Bianca's family asked the Blonsky family to move some of their luggage off of an airport chair, so that one of them could sit. The Blonsky family moved their shit, so that the the woman holding a child could sit, but they weren't happy about it. The Blonksly family reportedly started talking a lot of shit and even threw in the N-word a few times. Did Nikki not learn anything from "Hairspray"? Another source claims Bianca's family started the racial shit when one of them said, "I don't want to sit next to any white bitch."
The arguing became physical when Bianca and Nikki started exchanging words. Bianca's family member said the two chicks never fought each other, but Nikki did try and rip off Bianca's earring. She was hungry! After that, they all started brawling. You can't stop the beat down!
Unfortunately, there isn't any video of the battle itself. Yet. But someone did post a video on YouTube of the aftermath. The woman narrating the video needs her own show! In case you can't watch the video, here's a few of the narrator's amazing quotes:
"This young lady here with the green shirt, she done decked a girl out - Tracy Turnblad. Poor girl over there devastated, she ain't dancing around today."
"Is that my airplane?! Is that my flight? Cause I gotta go!!!"
At one point during the video, Nikki's loud mouth mom comes around blabbering about something or another. Who cares about her! Rude! She's interrupting this lady's amazing commentary.

There's something wrong with the system when most people in jail are black. That doesn't speak for the race, it speaks for our system. Sorry. I'm not a person who is hating on their own race, I'm just stating what I think is true. There just seems to be a pervading anger among white Americans toward all minorities these days in a way I haven't seen before. There is an overall lack of respect these days for other groups in the vain of "keepin' it real". Other things I have seen on this thread are astonishly dumb, so this is the last I will post on the matter. It's disheartening to see how many people are still stuck in the dark ages.

Putting your luggage on a chair in the airport is rude. The chairs are there for people to sit in. The luggage belongs on the floor. No one should have to ask anyone to move their luggage, it shouldn't be there in the first place!!!

I actually just remembered one morning when I was listening to Opie and Anthony on the radio: they were having a discussion about slavery and reparations. One young black guy called in first, bashed white folks, and demanded reparations and an apology from every white person in this country. Then, a young black woman called in immediately after and said we can't blame EVERY white person for a bunch of rotten apples. She sounded educated and confident and she actually questioned the young black man's motive to blame all white people without questioning the fellow black folks who sold their peers to the British, etc. Based on this analogy, it is plain to see that no one race shares an entirely collective bias about any other race and that it's about who you are as an individual that really matters.

Also, skin color is just evolution in reaction to our environment. People nearer the equator and closer to the sun have darker skin. The further out you get, the lighter the people become. That is also a reason why black people got rickets when they were first brought here.

Exactly. Africa is referred to as the "cradle of life." It's also very interesting to learn about all the different types of hominid fossils found in Africa. Essentially, if you tell someone to "go back to Africa" you are referring to yourself as well from a genetic perspective. But all of this scientific proof upsets people, they don't want to believe they are related to people of certain color or ethnicity, and it also debunks some religious creation theories.

I think you misunderstood me. These are legitimate questions I was asking without any snarkiness behind them whatsoever. If I were a black individual whose greatx4 grandfather was unfortunately a white slave owner, I wouldn't be painting glorious illustrations of that section of my family tree, either.
As far as wondering if black folks blame their peers who sold them into slavery, it's obviously lack of experience on my part but I've never actually heard any conversations by any black folks in which they've expressed anger for this specific situation. And duly, all of the decent, intelligent, logical, and often talented folks I know whose skin happens to be dark have never talked badly of white folks as a collective. I believe it all has to do with a person's individual character.

Well, I've been reading these posts for like the last 45 minutes (*wipes sweat off brow*) and I have to say that I'm frightened by some of the stuff that's been thrown around here. However, I have laughed at a few things: i.e. The United Negro College Fund is enough payment for slavery? (Hon, not even all BLACK people qualify for that; you have to go to certain schools to get that money). As far as inventions go, I don't think anyone but the originals can say that they didn't 'borrow' ideas from someone else. Isn't America supposed to be the 'melting pot'? At the end of the day this story is about a bunch of animals who clearly don't care enough about the fact that we're all human and now someone is seriously injured because of it. Don't care who started it; the end result is still the same. Question#1 Answer... I don't have one.
Questions#2 Answer... I find this one difficult to answer. Here's why... Record keeping was kind of sketchy back then, and that is why it is arduous to determine where your ancestory line ends. There was an abundance of mixed relations going on, and the father's name was never listed in the ledgers. Of course everyone on the plantations and farms knew who he was, but it was not spoken about. I have heard stories in which African Americans and Native Americans (very few) purchased slaves in turn to free them from the slave master. So to answer your question... Honestly I don't have a clue. I just wanted to drop a dime of knowledge into the pot.
