Hot Slut Of The Week: Louise Robey

I enjoyed your entertaining comments about Louise Robey. One of these days someone is going to write a book about this fascinating and beautiful woman who has been through some unbelievable experiences. In the meanwhile, I'm privileged to be Louise's friend and personal manager. "Friday the 13th: The Series," of which Season 1 will be released to DVD on September 23rd, has had amazing staying power. A huge cult following of fans cannot seem to get enough of Louise and this show. It's currently playing on the Chiller TV network and rumored to be under consideration for an even wider airing on the Sci-Fi Network.

I am absolutely certain that new things are in store for Louise. She continues to write music and has been collaborating with some great French musicians. I've never seen her happier since she took up residence with her new husband Stan Shaffer in the bucolic French countryside. She is writing new music almost daily and helping Stan get his book about his career as a photographer ready for publishing. A half-world away in North America, the series residuals continue, the buzz continues, movie offers come in, music deals are afoot, and, yes, the inevitable tabloid jabs that every celebrity must weather. But Louise has been through even meaner words in print. One of the things I admire about her is her ability to laugh and let such words roll off her back. No one's gonna bring this lady down.

Oh, by the way. I heard a rumor floating around that in the photos of Louise credited by Stan that she is wearing hair extensions. Well, let me dispel that rumor. Those beautiful tresses are her own. I've got a few strands of her hair left behind in my family's guest room to prove otherwise! Sorry, don't bother looking on Ebay for them!

The extent of Robey's glamour never quits... she is also the former Countess of Burford. She has a title! From her bio on her website www.louiserobey.com:

I must have been 7 or 8 at the time when this show came out or something, and I watched TV ALL the time and never even saw that shit either. Damn, my mom!

I use to love that show. My favorite was the one with the fugly girl who make guys fall in love with her by shining her satanic compact in their face. Classic. I also didn't know she was Robey, I always thought it was her cousin. Anyway, good choice!

I have a dance mix of this that's super corny, but I love it.

A video for a song that is a cover of a song from a musical about chess...and the video itself is almost totally removed from the very concept of chess, except for the black-and-white floor.

I'm still gone on her all these years later. I just loved how glamorous her character was and it was such a big deal to me that she had a different hairstyle in every episode.

That video (and her cover) is sooooo cheesy and awful.

That cover is seriously like some of the shit you'd see on American Idol. If you're going to do a cover of a song, you should make it your own, not perform it essentially in the manner of the creator. For good examples of covers, see Graham Parker's cover of Comfortably Numb, or The Feelies cover of Dancing Barefoot.

My goodness, it took me a day or two, but I finally remember this trash. I loved that show, though it was a bad one!!! MK, you definitely were raised by bad television, just like me!
