JLove's New Body
Last November, pictures of Jennifer Love Hewitt with a little junk in her truck, hood, and side spoilers hit the internet. A bunch of whores made fun of her jelly ass. At the time, JLove shot back and said she's not a fatty-fatty-bo-batty. She also said she was a size 2.
Well, on this week's cover of UsWeekly, JLove is queefing about how she lost 18lbs! Okay, if she was a size 2 back in November, what is she now? A size -2? More like a size "bitch, please!"
JLove told the magazine, "I am in a pretty good workout regimen that I like, so it inspired me to keep it up. The energy level and the way I feel now is great." She claims she only lost the weight because she wanted to feel better and not because of the mean things people said about her.
Yeah, I know what diet she went on. It's called the Photoshop diet! Does a body good.

I know where stuff is made locally in my area, i.e. which areas have a certain concentration of particular ethnicity and almost all of my grocery stores carry local stuff that's made fresh and has a short shelf life, so I know what your sayin'.
Oy, bagels, I never got into them or muffins.
Or melted cheese dishes either, blech.

You and I are in the same boat. I smoke, and I exercise and im trying to lose weight. For breakfast I had 2 slices of white breads 220 cals, 2 fried eggs, 150 cals, a slice of american cheese, 100 cals, and coffee with sugar lets give it 150 cals. My total breakfast was 620 cals. For me to lose weight I need a 1400 a day calorie diet, so for the rest of the day I will consume 780 cals. 2 snacks, an apple a banana. bring me down to 580 cals which is more than enough cals for a nice supper. The point is, it CAN be done, just keep track of numbers and like i said the most important thing is to know the calories in things you eat regularly.
Also, just cause your a smoke dont mean u cant jog. GO FOR IT, infact I love having a cig after a workout, you inhale deeper, ha! Just build up your exercise every week abit more. I use to be able to do no push ups, which are great for the fat bras make on the sides :( , and arms. Anyways 2 months ago I could do no pushups, I started at ten and gradually increased by 10 - 15 a week. Now I can do 100 pushups, 4 sets of 20 reps. I know that there are other people who can do thousands of pushups, but you can only really focus on your individual progress, and you should always be fucking proud of every little improvenment regardless of how little it may seem. And scales arent the be all and end all, sometimes I have lost weight, the scale didnt register, but I fit into smaller jeans, so I Must have lost weight you know. Its a one day at a time thing.

@NYAPPLES: Thank you for your advice! I think that may be part of it. It's weird - I have lost some girth around my waist, but I have lost very little weight and it perplexed me. I bet what you are saying is a factor, because I don't drink nearly as much water as I probably should (though I drink almost no sodiepop anymore either... it's sugarfree juice for me, always). My goal is to lose several pant sizes in the next 6 months,
so I'm hoping that's a feasible goal. There's just so many different aspects of losing weight and getting in shape that it makes it difficult! Some people say low-cal, others say low-carb, others say no-meat, and it goes on and on. Boo on that!

Trudat. I have the good fortune of living near a market where, pretty much, all the food is fresh and authentic. North Americans have the WORST dietary habits, so I try to only eat food made by people from other countries;P (not really, but you get the jist, yes?) Supermarket pita is often just bread shaped like pita. Bagels have the equivalent of FIVE slices of bread! Remember when bagels and muffins used to be tiny and everyone hated them? LOL!

Oops...i said the D word...diet. I dont DIET...thats bullshit. You have to make it a lifestyle change and like NYAPPLES said...drink TONS of water and just eat the things you like in moderation. My 5 small (like 300-450 calories) a day is working well and yet i still have a big meal from time to time. I have more energy which was a big problem for me. Now i just wish there were more hours in the day to get everything else done...lol.

Never cut carbs out. They are important to your body since a high protein diet can lead to kidney problems. Just stick to eating a healthier version of what you normally eat, cut that down in size a bit, add some exercise and water and your good to go. Extreme diets never work because people eventually cave in, so if you want some chocolate, have it, just in moderation.

Yes 2 weeks is a good enough time to make a good reduction in weight. The secret to weight loss is not only what you eat but how you eat it. Start by determining how many calories you need in a day to maintain weight, then subtract around 400 -500 from that, and thats how many calories you will need to lose weight. Eat 3 main means, Br. LU. and DI., and 2 snacks. The 2 snacks should be around 100 calories, so like a banana or apple. Space your 5 meals as far from each other as possible. Eat FIRST thing in the morning to kick start your metabolism, with water. Drink LOTS of water, people have lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks from cutting out soda and drinking a cup of water an hour. Put emphasis on lean meats, veggies, and cut out white pasta and bread, brown bread is not as good but healthier and will make u feel full longer. Also, dont eat anything 2-3 hours before u go to bed, and if u must have a snack late night, opt for something like a yogurt.
If you do that you should lose a good amount of weight, BUT you must add exercise to really kick of the weight loss process. 1 hour of running, 1000 situps, and some weight lifting will do you good. You dont have to do that much exercise the first day, but work uptowards that goal, 1000 situps can be done in 10 minutes it sounds like a bigger deal that it actually is in practice. Most girls think if they weight lift they will get a muscular body, which is wrong, girls bodies will never be ripped naturally unless they really weight lift over a hundred pounds and take supplements for it. Weight lifting makes u look slim literally in days if done correctly. Best of Luck, weddings are a killer!
p.s. I never do, but I have heard seperating carbs and proteins as individual meals help aid weight loss.
---------------------------
Thanks! As far as food intake goes, I've pretty much been following the regimen you described, give or take: i.e.-drinking lots of water and not much else, three meals a day plus one or two snacks which is usually a piece of fruit or unsalted nuts, and I save the carbs for breakfast and maybe lunch and pair a protien with veggies for dinner.
For exercise, like I said we've been walking a few miles a day at a moderately fast pace. I want to work up to a point where I can jog those miles, but I'm a smoker (I know, I know.) and haven't been exercising much prior to this so it'll take me a while.

I have been doing the 5 small meals a day diet(which works well..i never feel super hungry anymore). I've worked hard on my arms and they are starting to look awesome. Planks have helped my back troubles...i was always having pains but now NADA. I also do interval training on the treadmill....basically i dont just get on and run for 30 minutes...i walk for 2, speed it up and incline for 2...incline it higher for 2 and ramp up the speed...then i jog for like 4 minutes...then raise the incline again...just change it up every couple of minutes. You have to keep your body from getting used to an exercise. If you do the same thing all the time you body will rebel and start storing up your fat. sucks but its true.
All this and I dance and play with my two little boys TONS!! Its the funnest part of my exercising. :D

Love your name by the way... listen water retention is so easily treated that you really shouldnt let it make you bigger. The secret to getting rid of water retention actually is drinking lots of water. I know sounds weird but its true. When a woman has her period it needs more water for bodily function than the other 3 weeks of the month which is why it needs to retain the water you consume because it feels your not giving it enough. IF however you start really drinking a good deal of water, your body wont feel the need to do so, and will let go of excess water. If your already drinking water, and you still retain, thats your body telling you it still needs more. Its the same way with cramps, yes it hurts to move, but the best way to get rid of cramps is to actually move.
Weight loss is a bitch, and as long as you know your making a real effort towards it no matter at what rate your losing weight that what matters, that you care enough to do something about it. People fail at weight loss cause they see it as "dieting" it really should be, people eating the same things they like, just less of it. But the most important thing is to know how many calories are in the things you regularly eat, and all of that can be found online, and if u know ur going to a restaurant, google the calories in the foods u normally order, and when u go to a restaurant, have it, but in moderation, and when your at the gym next just put a little more time in your workout to make up for it.

And little things like don't eat too close to bedtime, drink extra water, don't mix your protein and your carbs, and while you're at it - stick to brown carbs (no white bread, rice, pasta) for a quick dramatic fix.
----------------------------
Yeah, the eating too late in the evening was a problem so now we eat dinner before we go walking and if I get a little hungry an hour or two before bedtime I have a piece of fruit or a handful of unsalted nuts. We eat whole wheat bread (but we've always been buying that, so no change there) and we drink mostly regular water and flavored sparkling water. We've been walking every day anywhere from 2 to 4 miles at a moderately fast pace, so I'm hoping I see some kind of results by the middle of next week, at least.

18 little fucking pounds in TEN WEEKS??
the average person can lose 1-2 pounds in a week.

That's true, I won't argue that. But if you factor in water weight (which can cause you to gain or lose a pound or two in one night), and the fact that women usually gain several pounds when they're on their period, sometimes those measurements can get a bit skewed. Hence the reason I only lost a couple pounds this summer (see my response to YMAtT). Not to mention the fact that losing weight is just plain hard!!

@YMAT:
Seriously, you can. Especially if you been eating badly and not moving up until then. The first pounds are always the easiest to lose. I like to eat - especially in winter - and I now know I can put on about 10lbs and take it off without even doing anything really (I used to be really intense about that stuff) - just putting down that doughnut. I like to move, too. The shit thing about that is the more you move, the more you have to move to make a difference. For losing weight, its actually better if you've been sedentary - you don't have to do that much to burn.

"To set the record straight, I’m not upset for me, but for all of the girls out there that are struggling with their bodies. A size 2 is not fat! Nor will it ever be."
-- Seems like she's saying she IS a size 2 to me. The picture/captions were about how SHE looked, not that a size 2 in general is overweight. No one else brought up anything relating to "size 2"... if she's not saying that's what size she is/was, her comment doesn't make sense.

the average person can lose 1-2 pounds in a week. so technically at the very least she should have lost 20. Add to that, thats the AVERAGE person. She has money so she can afford to have personal trainers, delicious low fat foods delivered, etc. So her weight loss is completely unremarkable.
