Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi became wifey and wifey on Saturday at their home in Los Angeles, and here's a few stalker-like pictures from the blessed event. I can see you two little 'gina bumpers, but you can't see me. Ehehehe!
Okay, what in lezzie flannel hell is Ellen wearing? I swear she stole my first communion outfit out of my mother's guest room closet. That's practically the same shit I wore except I had fancy silver shoes with bells on them. No joke. What's gayer than gay? Fancy silver shoes with bell on them.
Portia looks loverly as usual. And so happy! I would be fucking happy too if I just married a dykey pot o' gold! Portia better not have signed a prenup! Prenups are my worst nightmare. They ruin everything!

I am glad to see that Ellen looks kind of girly in a way. She is still wearing men's clothes, but it's pink and it's flowing. Portia on the other hand looks like a princess.

I think that applys to relationships in general you always have a dominate male or female in a straight relationship just like in gay relationship the only difference is in lesbian relationships the dominate one usually dresses and acts like the opposite sex and in gay men the dominate male is usually the more masculine one. Thats general of course theres always relationships that break those modes but they're in the minority.
yeah, i don't really get this whole lesbians being like men thing. is it inbuilt like, genetically wired?

Two Drink Min, I think I see what you're asking. Nobody is "playing the other gender." Just because Ellen wears pants instead of dresses doesn't mean "she's the man in the relationshsip." This would be like saying female athletes are "playing the other gender" because they don't necessarily live up to every single gender norm society puts on them.
As far as my butch women often go for femme women and vice versa, I dunno. I'd imagine it's one of those "opposites attract thing," (people finding other people attractive because they have qualities they admire and don't necessarily have themselves) but it is also not always the case. I know a couple lesbian couples in which both partners are "lipstick lesbians."
Who decides the roles in a lesbian relationship? It's like Portia is over the top feminine and Ellen so obviously plays the man role. Kind of like Cynthia Nixon with her pudge ball. Just never knew what the deciding factor was on that. Things that make you go .....hmmmmmm.
Anyway, the dress is gorgeous. They look happy. Ellen is likeable it's nice to see her married off. But is she gonna start referring to Portia as the wifey when she's doing her show? I think that will be annoying.

I have no problem with these two. They stay under the radar and both seem nice. I am just confused. Having many gay friends I still don't get it. Why is there one that is always plays the other gender? I don't mean to offend. Merely curious. I know the heart wants what it wants. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy for them. But I'm not a huge Ellen fan so my happiness has more to do with liking to see a couple in love get married than it does liking her specifically.

i always cringe when i see ellen. i don't know exactly why, but i do. i think a big part of it is that she is older than my mother, yet insists on dancing to justin timberlake kinda often. i hate to be the one to bring the bad news but ellen... you really didn't bring sexyback, no matter how hard you wanna believe it.

Strange couple. Portia has no sense of humor. Years ago Kathy Griffin was interviewing her and asked how it was to be the fat one on Ally McBeal. Portia lost it. Obviously a joke, the woman is rail thin, and was even thinner back then. Talk about insecure!
