uhm ok, honesty above all:
1- As a woman I felt mortified when I saw the pictures that everyone's referring, I'm not skinny, I'm what 5'6" and weight about 136Lbs right now, i used to be 115Lbs (I don't know how much that would be in pounds or if it is the same, anyway)and i do have cellulite, and stretch marks, I'm not proud of course, I'm actually really self-aware of it and I, sadly, can't pull myself together to use miniskirts, or bikinis or shorts, or anything, in fact when I was younger i didn't wear any of that because it wasn't my style and now it's because I'm ashamed of my body.
I admire the fact that this woman has enough self-esteem to just not pay attention to any of that crap and be herself and enjoy herself and her time with her loved ones and i wish i was mature enough to emulate that.
2- Like i said: i was mortified when i saw those pics, because I thought of myself, being pictured and mouth-TRASHED like that, especially that last part, the way this person Drunkenblahblahblah, referred to her, I've never felt so insulted as a human being, as a woman, after reading someone trashing someone else and I've never felt so sad and so sorry for us women after reading some of the comments posted here. It offends me to the core the fact that the most hateful things, said and written, about women (not to mention done to women) come from other women.
Call me naive, or whatever the hell, but one thing is to actually say something nasty about a complete waste of H2O, and the other is to bully a person, in this particular case, a woman, someone's mother, someone's wife, sister, daughter, because of her weight.
We dis, insult, accuse, hate, to say the least, other women when they're successful: if they get a raise or a promotion, we, other women, jump to say "all that late-hour-dick-sucking the boss finally paid out", "who is she sleeping with?", "bitch fuck her way to the top" etc., not once have i heard someone say "damn she worked hard, she deserves it", or "i'm proud of her, she's a real fighter, a hard working woman", not once, coming from another woman's mouth.
and that's just one example.
and men, we crucify men, satanize them and call them pieces of trash, etc., because of the way they might treat a woman, we hate wife-beaters, but what are we? we are women-beaters, we have the ability to break another woman's spirit with just one hateful word.
what the fuck is wrong with us?
we should have a fucking worldwide-sisterhood, we've fought so hard to achieve so much, and in the end we're stuck in the same place we have always been, under other woman's heels, we are the ones who encourage and indulge the macho-society that we have spent centuries criticizing and complaining about, and we still endure the thought of machism.

We constantly say: I rather work with women because they're submissive, but I rather have male clients because they're not a pain in the ass as women are.
Some other times we say: I don't hire other women because they have other priorities, i don't want my CEO telling me she has to leave the office because it's her little daughter's recital. the only women i hire are the housekeepers.

And as horrible as it is, it happens, I've heard other women saying that kind of sickening shit. We fill our mouths with woman's rights and blah blah blah, only when it comes handy to prove something to a man, but what about what we should prove ourselves, other women?
we are jealous and resentful of the success of other women, it might be because of a job or a man who we think is absolutely gorgeous and is involved with "a hag", but we always find the perfect opportunity to insult and undermine another woman.
now, someone might say oh well would you defend sienna miller? paris hilton? etc. etc., and hell no, i wouldn't but not because of their looks, or what they have achieve, but at the persona they truly are, and how they have achieve it, to begin with,..don't be confuse and don't expect me to feel double-standard because of it, i will not justify someone's actions, men or women, because of how i feel human-bond should be about.
Respect is earned, and people like the 2 above mentioned, have not earn it, at least not yet.
Keely Shaye Smith's only "crime" is to be different from the standard people in showbiz have settled as the ideal, sure she should lose some weight, only because of health matters, but that's it, she's a great wife and mother, and we should respect her for that, for being true to herself.
it's funny how some say they respect Pierce for "staying" with her, but no one says "Pierce is a lucky fella who happens to be one of the few in hollywood who has found a good woman, who loves him and respects him", instead they praise him for acting "like a real tropper" because he is "making a big sacrifice" by being with his wife.

All i can say at this point is I wish I was mature enough to accept myself, not as in settle for it, but to ACCEPT and LOVE, MYSELF, in a way that no superficial bullshit like this could affect me. And i wish i could enjoy myself without paying attention to the fact that other women will probably bashing me for being not-physically-perfect, but most of all I wish we could be WOMEN, instead of conniving back-stabbing hypocrite stereotypical wolves disguised as women who care about other women and the path society is taking.

we are so full of bullshit that I have wished so many times to be a man, and that's just fucking sad and pathetic.

Also, why shouldn't you/women wear your stretch marks with pride? I saw a stunning woman in a bikini on the beach in Italy once, but she had stretch marks where it looked like she'd lost weight. I am working on mine and it is a slow progress but it is coming off. I have a problem walking past mirrors because it is not the person I was even less than a year ago. No one should ever be discouraged. I knew I had to do something before totally out of control and I have taken steps to remedy. I am ooooolder so it is harder. LOL. I am a ageist...

1. Not enough sex
2. Not enough help from their spouse, leaving her with no time to take care of herself properly
3. Feeling emotionally abandoned with nowhere to find comfort except food.
4. The stress of being in a shitty relationship can make women gain weight even when diet and exercise haven't changed or even if diet and exercise have improved.

Keely's a gorgeous woman. It sucks that the media can tear her to pieces like that. I don't have a thyroid so I know what it's like to be super thin one year, then have your meds and your levels get all out of whack causing you to gain a ton of weight. It kills your self esteem. I'm not saying she has that, but it must suck to put on a ton of weight have and your body work against you, especially in the public eye.

She's always been pretty, but it's unfortunate that Keely's put on so much weight. Perhaps it's a thyroid condition, perhaps it's old fashioned overeating. It's just common courtesy and shows a lack of grace when you parade around virtually undressed like that in her condition. I've always been naturally thin, but after having babies, while my figure looks great in clothes, I have very visible stretch marks on my butt and belly that I don't want anyone to see. Sure I'll walk around naked happily in front of my husband, but you won't catch me dead showing off my flaws in public. I'll wear a sarong or capris to the beach, thank you very much. Sure, I'd show off if I had the body of Adriana Lima, but I don't, so I use my judgement. I don't have very much sympathy for Mrs. Brosnan. Yes, it's great if you don't give a damn what people think, but deep down, you do. I'm sure her children cringe when she sets herself up like that. It's just not a pretty sight.

I remember once seeing a talk show with really fat women on it (not just plump or chubby, but so fat that they had trouble moving) and they were going on and on about how really thin or even muscular he-men liked them. This one really fat woman brought out her husband and he was built like one of those statues in East Germany, and then they started kissing. It was kind of gross and not even Montel could watch.

April: yes! It's so depressing that - I believe - the number one thing keeping women down is being hated on by other women for having a little junk in the trunk (not being one of those morbidly obese bed-ridden types, just not 'perfect').
