In an interview with the Associated Press, Matt Damon doesn't hold back when talking about Sarah Palin. Matt called the Palin pick a "disaster," and that there's a good chance she will become President which is a "scary thing." Matt also doesn't understand why more people aren't talking about it. Um...does he ever go on the internet?
Matt went on to say that the whole thing is a really bad Disney movie. He said, "The hockey mom, you know, 'Oh, I'm just a hockey mom'... and she's facing down Vladimir Putin... It's totally absurd... It's a really terrifying possibility."
Come on, Matt! What do you take Disney for? It's probably already in development under the working title "President Mommy." Megan Mullally already passed on it, so they are talking to Geena Davis. I can already see the poster. Geena Davis is holding a soccer ball in front of the White House while her kids are pulling at her skirt and her husband (played by Rick Moranis) is rolls his eyes at her. Vladimir Putin can play himself. It'll be a hit!

So what if Obama doesn't have that much experience, look at Bush, with all his experience and father being president himself, this country is still in a mess. It's not like presidents make all the decisions themselves, he will have cabinet/support with tons of experience that will help him through the process. I also think that is a plus, because base on my experience in the work place, inexperienced people tend to be more cautious, and tend to not make irrational decisions.
I would rather have a president that is rational than a senior citizen who may pass away soon; thus leaving Palin to become president. She is too religious in a bad way. Whatever happened to separation of church and state, made popular by Thomas Jefferson (founding father) who was a deist! Congress and the gov have been so divided that many things have just ground to a stand still and nothing gets done. It's not about cooperation now, just retribution. I have already stated I don't like any of them. McCain/Palin or Obama/Biden. I am also pro choice. Even if McCain/Palin win, I don't think it would be THAT easy to overturn Roe v Wade. What might happen is that certain states won't allow it and one would have to travel to another state to get an abortion. While I know there are certain circumstances that happen where a woman will find herself with an unwanted pregnancy, woman are a hell of alot better off with birth control today then we were 30 years ago.

McCain/Palin WILL seek to overturn Roe vs. Wade, so yes, she (and he) DOES want to inflict her personal beliefs onto all of us. There is plenty of information on the web regarding her clearly showing her stance on this, and you can just go to McCain's site where he states "John McCain believes Roe vs. Wade is a flawed decision that must be overturned".
Phoebe (sorry for misspelling the name, no offense intended), just so you know, I am an Independent and it would be hard to classify me as a liberal, or a conservative. I am also not happy about a broken two party system either. As far as mentioning why he made that choice, perhaps he will as the race gets closer. As for Roe V. Wade, attempts to change it took place many times, but it it was struck down by the Supreme Ct, Congress, or by popular vote. It became a massive hot potato during the clinic bombing era. Just because the law didn't change, doesn't mean people didn't try and try hard to change it.

Well Matt is entitled to his opinion since he is an American and will be voting for the next American president like everyone else.
I am personally miffed about Governor Palins diss to community organizers all over. I was a volunteer for years at God's Love We Deliver back in the day and they were the most rewarding times of my life. The people there were amazing. They worked so hard with no recognition and here come's a Governor to slam all the hardworking grassroit people. Come to think of it, she indirectly slammed Cindy McCain with that! Cindy has been involved with charities for years. Wouldn't she be qualified as a community organizer? I don't know about this election where's Colin Powell when you need him?
I think that may end up being his fatal mistake, not choosing Hillary. He took the safe route with generic old Democrat guy.
I just would like to hear someone ask him that question, and hear how he can justify it.
