Patrick Bateman Sings!
"American Psycho," the book by Breat Easton Ellis about a 1980s Wall Street banker who loves to murder, is being turned into a big Broadway musical. Fun for the whole family!
The bitches producing it said now is the best time to put song into Patrick Bateman's murdering heart, because of what's happening on Wall Street. They are currently looking for hos to write the songs and book. No timeline has been set.
Obviously, Christian Bale is the only one who can play Patrick Bateman. He was in "Newsies," so he can sing and dance! "American Psycho" is kind of like "Newsies," but with more blood, nail guns, Huey Lewis and rats.
Speaking of rats, I can't wait for the musical's Act 2 opener featuring an interpretive dance between a woman, her vagina, a hungry rat and a chainsaw. Consider yourself lucky if you have no idea what I'm talking about.
Fuck, that scenario was disgusting! The book didn´t impress me much though. It´s just kind of boring (with endless descriptions in details about his obsessive daily routines) until the killing spree really kicks in and then it´s just disgusting and incomfortable to read. The movie is much better in this case.
Oh my gosh I absolutely LOVE Christian Bale in this role. He was soooo good. Especially liked the business card scene. hahaha
my favorite book turned into a musical? since i loathe broadway, the best way to cope with this distressing news must be to dissect some prostitutes tonight. brb.
unfortunatly i do know what you mean with the rats since i read the book a few years ago lol. if they make the musical based on the movie rather than the book it would do a LOT better and be a bit more...tolerable.
but yeah, this is a HORRIBLE idea. they just cant do anything original on broadway anymore!!!!!

i watched Newsies Sunday night! It was two hours too long I had no idea until the end it was Bale. I like American Pyscho too much to see it as a failed musical, then again I'm going to see Legally Blonde in Providence tomorrow...
