They were definitely exaggerated, and I don't believe it was by them-- it was either by the media because the story wasn't "big" enough without it, or by their reps to get them "good" publicity, or a little of both. My point is exactly that, though, angel-- people DID die in the crash and this bullshit we were obviously fed just cheapens that, which IMO is absolutely unforgivable.

It never ceases to amaze me how depraved and horrible people can be when it works to their own benefit.

They did say DJ AM was put in an induced coma. Then released so soon? I'm not buying it, but maybe there's something I don't know.

At any rate, they aren't to blame. They were laying in a hospital and I'm sure the emotional scars will last far longer.

Just because he is out of the burn hospital, doesn't mean he isn't going to be further treated at a hospital in L.A.

I think these reports can be a bit misleading.

ITA. IF they were burned as badly as was first reported, they would never be able to be moved so quickly, not even for further treatment at another hospital, not by any responsible Doctor, anyway.

In case anyone wonders, why do I feel such anger that the media felt the need to exaggerate their injuries? Because they thought we'd only care if someone famous was hurt in the process, as if those lowly un-famous people on the plane weren't worth our sympathy, right? I am not saying that they weren't injured, they obviously were. Just not injured enough to sate the appetites of some disgusting media sloths, apparently.

You know, I really AM glad that both Travis and DJ AM are okay. Having said that, if I were a family member of one of the people who were actually killed in that crash, I would be pretty pissed at the way the media exaggerated their injuries for play.

When the crash was first reported, we were led to believe DJ AM practically had no face left and was on death's door, and Travis wasn't far behind. Now they are home after less than 2 weeks? Even minor burn victims usually stay much longer than that, so somebody really exploited a tragedy for headlines. And that fucking SUCKS.

BTW: What are the odds that the two most famous people on the plane are the ones to survive? Or weren't they the only survivors?

I wonder if he's flying back to LA and if they had to knock him out for it. I imagine since he didn't want to get into the copter to fly to the ER, and they had to knock him out, he probably has anxiety about flying again. I would.

I agree with Mopa, he will most likely be receiving treament in LA.
