In an interview with The Daily Beast, JLo (ironic, right?) talks about and defends Scientology, but denies being a member. Her daddy and a bunch of her friends including Leah Remini are card carrying members of Tommy Girl's band of alien crazies.
JLo said, “I do know a lot about Scientology. And I know about the practices. I know all about what the technology is and all that kind of stuff. It’s very helpful. So in a sense, yeah, you do call on it.” When asked if she's an alien worshipper, she said, “No…I wouldn't have a problem saying [I was] because I know what it is. I have no problems with it and it really actually bothers me that people have such a negative feeling towards it.”
And would JLo ever consider putting her Dragon Tales Twins in Scientology school? “Yeah. I wouldn’t mind. Not at all. Because I know that the technologies that they have are very helpful…It’s all about communication. That’s the thing I really don’t like about talking about this. I do know so many great people who do do it, who choose it as a lifestyle and really follow it and it is their religion…I just wish that people wouldn’t judge it without knowing what it is.”
JLo, it's okay. Have Tommy Girl call Oprah, so that you can go on her show, jump on her couch and finally tell the world that you love barley water and aliens. It's fine.
You know how else I can tell she's a Scientologist? She's starting to get a little frumpy in the hair. That's one of the first things to go! Look at Katie Holmes. She had cute hair until she hooked up with Tommy Girl. Now her weepy mop looks like it could use a huge shot of Prozac. But that will never happen....

Yes, and what JHO also knows (but isn't telling), is that there is an entirely different set of rules for celebrity Scientologists than there are for the peons. They don't abide by the general rules and punishments that the "regular" folks have to follow. That's why it's so 'glamorous' to them.

I'm sure I don't know what I'm talking about but I don't think Marc Anthony would let his kids join that cult. I don't care if Marc Anthony is a lapsed catholic, barely catholic, or just culturally catholic. To many Latin people, being catholic is like being mexican or puerto rican or whatever. It just is who you are even if you never pick up a Bible or go to mass (yeah, that can bother Protestants -- it bothers the half of my family that's Protestant). And Marc Anthony does mean something to the latin community. I think even if his motives were base, he would protect his image.
And I apologize to anyone/everyone if I offend... all I know about Scientology is from a Religion course I took about cults. Also studied in that course: Mormons, Manson, the Branch Davidians, Jim Jones, the Moonies, etc. Senior year in college, my friends and I thought this throw away class would be a blast to take together. Sadly, it was very boring.

Bella, sorry but other religions -- whether they were divinely inspired or made by people -- were not openly made as part of a tax-dodge by a failed sci-fi writer.
With that in mind, I can't see how anyone could take it seriously. I don't believe in all religions, but I can at least respect their TENETS (if not what their members always do) and the intent behind them, as well as the fact that they at least strive for something.
Before anyone starts shrieking hysterically about how this religion did that terrible thing, and this other one did THIS, I'm talking abou the religions themselves rather than some wackjob members of it. If wackjob members were all it took to have an organization be considered evil, then all political parties would be evil as well as all religions. Got it?
Scientology? Their tenets include Nazi-istic cleansings of anyone/anything that doesn't adhere to what L. Ron approved of, anything-goes attacks on people you don't like, slavery, and focusing on becoming a more-powerful-than-those-unbelievers ubercreature rather than seeking any kind of spiritual purity or enlightenment. Oh yes, and despite the shrill cries of anti-religion people, there is NO major religion that DEMANDS money before you can take part in anything. Go to any church/mosque/temple/synagogue, and they won't take a cent from you to put your butt in a chair and watch. They might politely ask for some so they can pay the electric bills, but you can pass if you want.
That said, JeLo is SO a Scientologist. But since their (and her) focus is money, she will never admit it because there isn't a single open Scieno whose career isn't in the crap-pot. Admittedly some of them were in the crap-pot BEFORE their affiliation became known, but still.
Come on, if a prominent cardinal of the Catholic Church were caught on tape talking about how they were going to CRUSH the unbelievers, as Tom Cruise was, don't you think there'd be a justifiable backlash? Don't you think backlash is justifiable when an innocent child is neglected and denied medical treatment because his parents don't want to acknowledge autism's existance?
