Chaplin Or Holmes?
Robert Downey Jr. was in costume today in London for the new Chaplin...I mean...Sherlock Holmes movie. For real. I thought RDJ was dressed as the little tramp for "Chaplin II: The Starbuck Years." Unfortunately, it's for Guy Ritchie's version of Sherlock Holmes.
They should call this crap "Sherlock Hobo" instead, because RDJ looks raggedy as shit! Where the fuck is the little deerstalker cap, the silly pipe or the magnifying glass? Maybe this is Sherlock going undercover as Chaplin? Yeah, I know. Different time periods, but I'm trying to understand.
This shit also stars Jude "Effed Up Hairline" Law as Watson and Rachel McBoring as some broad who will probably scream often.
Here's a few more of Sherlock Chaplin in London today. Guy looks so fucking relaxed and bored for being the movie's director. Shouldn't he be running around and screaming into a bullhorn? Directing a movie is like going on vacation!

In the books, Holmes IS a coke addict (as many were at the time) so it seems that RDJ is a natural for the role. I actually want to see this, if only for RDJr's performance. I think he will nail it.

I have been a fan of Robert for many moons, Every time I see Elton's I Want Love video, I want to hold him till his eyes pop out of his head, He is a talented actor, singer, comic, and he looks like a sweetheart, The only criticsm I have viewing these pics would be Robert, please use a touch of gray not dye the whole head, It would add a little more maturity to the character. I love RDJ but this looks shite. Add Jude Law as Watson... Guy may be richie but he's a loser as a director always depending on big names to save his less than mediocre filmmaking. Ha, but rarely succeeds. This will bomb again. No, go to DVD silently. Without any noise.

Guy Ritchie making a Sherlock film??? I wonder if it'll have a horse buggy chase scene with a gunfight. This Sherlock looks a little messy like he slept in those clothes and just woke up. I always pictured Sherlock looking sharply dressed, not like a bum. This movie looks like it will be very unintentionally funny.
Personally I'm a fan of Guy Richie. I think this movie has potential. Mmmmm, RDJ.

I've never been a big fan of RDJ. Don't know why.
Holmes actually never wore the deerstalker cap in the Conan Doyle stories. Nor did he ever say, "Elementary, my dear Watson".

I feel for you. Been looking for work for a few months now. It's hard not to get your hopes up about a job you want, but honey, do not do it. Wash your hands of it and move on to the next interview. Then if something happens it's a happy surprise and if not then you have other irons in the fire.
That's the part that guts me. When I'm up for a contract I could do with my eyes closed, they liked me, i liked them, and I don't win it.
