Jenny McCarthy Just Exploded
Denis Leary is an asshole and he knows it. He loves it. So anything that comes out of his mouth, I just slather it between two pieces of white bread and throw it in the pile with his other shit sandwiches. Here's Denis' latest shit sandwich from his new book Why We Suck: A Feel-Good Guide to Staying Fat, Loud, Lazy and Stupid:
"There is a huge boom in autism right now because inattentive mothers and competitive dads want an explanation for why their dumb-ass kids can't compete academically, so they throw money into the happy laps of shrinks . . . to get back diagnoses that help explain away the deficiencies of their junior morons. I don't give a [bleep] what these crackerjack whack jobs tell you - yer kid is NOT autistic. He's just stupid. Or lazy. Or both."
The Autism Society of American issued this statement in response:
"For Mr. Leary to suggest that families or doctors conspire to falsely diagnose autism is ridiculous . . . [His] remarks reflect the same misconceptions of autism being caused by bad or unemotional parenting that were held over 50 years ago."
Denis really knows how to take his point and wrap it in a big box of vomit.
Once Jenny McCarthy pieces herself together from exploding, she's going to explode again. Once she's done with that, she's going to rip Denis to shreds. And I hope it's on live television.

It was a joke. Tasteless or not, his 'insensitive' comment will probably lead to more awareness and bring more attention to the problem than fifty PSA's.

You know what? I love Dennis Leary. And he is an asshole. He's the asshole I could never be. Because what he says is true. It's exactly true in fact. I don't know why he went for autism when he could have added ADD and ADHD...its out of control. What can I say? He's an asshole.
I've known more than one family with disordered children...in particular - I knew a family with an autistic child and his mother worked MIRACLES with him, over time...but he was OBVIOUSLY, from a very young age, autistic.
But I know lots of other families who speculate needlessly too...People are out of control with their diagnoses and their medications and their general quick fixes. Really paying close attention to another human being is very tiring and time consuming. But it's worth it.

Good for Dennis. That shit is way over-diagnosed.
I love me some Dennis. The problem that I have with Jenny is two fold, one she claims her child has been cured through diet. He has to be home schooled and isn't or can't be integrated in to school for even one period a day. Meaning he is not cured or even together enough to cope in school. Don't lie.
Second, she is still claiming it's because of vaccines, which was debunked in over 50 separate studies. Childhood shots and autism have nothing to do with each other and yet she spouts this as an excuse, possibly conning at least one dumbshit parent into not getting their child vaccinated. That's why there are still people getting mumps, measles and chickenpox.
Jenny your kid is broken, that's sad but you will probably never know why, and not be able to fix him. Dennis just makes money being mean to people like Jenny.
Lovely thing to say. I hear that downs syndrome is a made up condition too, ashamed parents put pressure on their dr's to explain away why their children look so different.
