Palin & Fey: Together At Last (Sort Of, Kind Of)
Sarah Fey and Tina Palin (on purpose typo) shared the same stage on SNL (aka The Sarah Palin Show) last night. Yes, they did share the stage.....for a quick second! They crossed paths and quickly glanced at each other. It was a magically strange moment that can be described in two words: acid flashback.
I think I like Tina Fey's version of Sarah Palin better than Sarah Palin's. Especially her fancy pageant walk! I could have watched that all night.
Alec Baldwin and Marky Mark also made cameos in the opening sketch which was a little awkward and uncomfortable. It was like watching my divorced parents at Thanksgiving dinner together. I didn't know whether to stare at them the whole time or medicate myself with pills and booze.
And was that a llama or a pony in the background?! Why did it only get ass time? Forget it. I just answered my own question.
Below is Sarah Palin's other appearance on Weekend Update. Amy Poehler is like 15-months pregnant and she can still rap! The bitch has skills. Todd and the moose was a nice touch, but where was Joe Sixpack and Joe the Plumber?! SNL probably couldn't afford their appearance fees.

The opening sketch and Weekend Update were great! And as much as I can't stand Palin's politics, I give her credit for going into the lion's den and having a sense of humor about herself.

Yes, we are in scary times but you can't just sit in a corner and dwell, that's how depression sets in. IMO anyway. I use humor to get through bad times.

Seeing Fey and Palin side by side made me notice how much older Palin looks. Fey's definitely a better looking, younger version of Palin which is strange because I never considered Fey a looker. I mean, Fey's not ugly but she's not the school beauty either.
That was .... I don't ever want to see a pregnant woman rap again.
Hmmmm....The country is falling apart. We are in a recession, people are losing homes and jobs. Scary damn times and an elected official, VP canidate, is doing skits on SNL? Wow, scary times.

I wish Palin would have done more. I loved when Alec was calling her Tina and when Alec told Tina that she was there and Tina's response: "The real one?"
And Amy Poehler is AMAZING. The moose rap was hilarious. And Palin throwing her hands in the air "dancing" was a nice touch.
I will never be able to erase the memory of Sarah Palin "dancing" to the song. Thanks SNL.
Amy and Tina were awesome as usual.
