When y sister was a baby she once asked a lady in the store why she was darker than us just out of curiosity. Thankfuly the lady knew she was just a curious three year old.

My mom simply told her the scientific reason why some skin is dark, some skin is pale, freckles, all of that good stuff.

She took us to the library and that week during summer vacation we studied about albinos and how the earth was once all one big massive piece of land.

I dunno my mom just always taught us about science. Guess thats why we arent religious.

I may have mentioned this here before, but my 6 year old boy has never once pointed out a person of a different race...to him they're all people. THAT is the standard that we as a nation need to hope and strive for.

While I agree that this Presidential Election was historical, it saddens me that it is still so much about race. Get past this and concentrate on the future. When will people be able to truly look at someone and not see their color but just see the person? Probably never. I voted for Barrack Obama, because I truly believe that he is the best man for the job and I hope like many other Americans that I won't be disappointed in my choice but only time will tell. Honestly, I feel that maybe for the first time in my countries history we really are over coming racism.
