Nothing New: Courtney Love Is Confused
Courtney Love is the reason why Prop 8 passed! Or "soemthin." In a friends-only blog, confusing Court sounds like she's happy about the ban on gay marriage. But she's obviously just confused about the confusing Prop 8.
blown away
Current mood: bouncyThat prop 8 passsed! motherfuckers! who voted against it!
it was confusing language in malibu there were kids reminding us to vote yes thatthe language was conbfusing and people were votingno when they meant yes or soemthin
And now I'm confused! Oh, Court. Pill-popping and blogging is a skill that requires hours upon hours of practice before you're ready to actually hit the "publish" button.
Court's "current mood" explains the entire post for me. I usually feel bouncy in the head too after chasing a few old Darvocet pills with a Smirnoff Ice and vodka.
Seriously, I think a lot of bitches were confused. I heard that some bitches voted for it thinking they were voting yes on gay marriage. Oops....
Here's a screenshot of Court's confusing entry.

This hot mess known as Courtney Love and "The Vadge" have got to be twins. They have the similar unhealthy Trollsen unclean trashy bag lady alien look.

I also have heard that people thought they were voting for gay marriage.I think it is awful that it passed.
Between two evils, I always pick the one I never tried before.
Man, she's stupid freakin' bitch. To quote my friend from Canada "Your country allows murder of babies (regarding partial birth abortions only not early ones), yet it's illegal for 2 people who love each to get married."
I'm so disappointed and angry with the results of prop 8. I'm married and straight but I want liberty for all people not just straight ones.
I completely understood what she said, actually. I better lay off my Xanax......

If enough people complain they can do a redo but something tells me people are too lazy to care.
******************************
My point exactly. A vote like this is a farce because too many people just don't care. It kinda makes sense - not everyone is active and they shouldn't have to be. It's a huge fucking world we can't, each of us, take care of it all.

honestly,Im a Californian and sometimes i'd have to remind myself what yes meant and no meant,in Courtney's crazy jumbo she brings up a good point that some people may have been confused, however I really think people in California don't like gays I know alot of people who voted yes and knew it was clearly AGAINST GAY MARRIAGE!

Electronic voting is so easy that unless you press espanol it is really easy to understand.
California attorney general jerry brown, who is against prop 8, was the one who wrote that description. If proponents had their way it would have simply stated "limits marriage - constitutional amendment" eliminate is not a very difficult word. I actually tried to google at which grade children are taught this word but could not find it. But trust me, the words list for 5th were much more difficult than eliminate. I think people might just be grabbing for straws kind of like the 2000 election. when you don't like the results, there must be a reason.
I'm in NY and there was a Proposition 1 or Bill 1 or something, with no explanation attached -- I didn't vote yea or nay on it since I didn't know what it was.
I am still wondering why, in an age where we've been able to put a man on the moon for 40 years, we can't somehow standardize the voting system. The voting machines in Brooklyn have to be the single-handed most complicated ones I've ever encountered. My mom says that in Indiana they had computerized ones and a lot of the older people were complaining that they wouldn't let you go back and change your vote.
As for the confusing language, I can see it happening. At my former place of employment, I had to write a lot of "Know Your Rights" and instructional brochures for various social services, and we were trained to write everything at a 5th-grade reading level. (5 minutes surfing the JJ or Perez Hilton comments confirms that many people are stuck at that level). So anyway, there's no reason they couldn't do that... "takes away" instead of "eliminates", etc.
Well, confusing languague could be the real reason. Colorado became known as the "Hate State" several years ago for that very reason. We confusingly passed something that we should have voted "no" on. A "Yes" vote was against the constitutional amendment (every fucking thing has to be an amdnement to the state consitution)and a "No" vote was for it. Now, all of the pre-election literature points out that "No" is against, "Yes" is for because we had another consitutional amendment in a different elections to make that the staus-quo for voting. Law-makers that don't want something to pass will do that to you when they can!

I have no idea why anyone would think it was confusing, my ballot said
"Eliminates the Right of Same-Sex Couples to Marry"
If you voted yes and didn't mean to, you're an idiot!!!

everyone knows l.a., san diego, and the sf bay area. they forget that the majority of political power and wealth is concentrated in central calif (the farmers, folks, run this state. believe it or not) and in orange county (which has quite a few pockets of conservatives). there's also the northern coast all the way up to the border and the eastern desert/mountain communities, which are all a mix of political stripes left and right.

you are right about CA not being as liberal as people think... its a big state, but america associates it with a couple loudmouth liberals from hollywood.
She needn't have scalped that afghan hound and tied the fur to her head. I'm sure she could have afforded proper extensions.
well i wasn't voting for everyone to get married. i voted for the FREEDOM to get married if you want to.
heck, i'm a woman and i was pressured hard to get married, but it doesn't mean i ran off to reno with the first dude who felt me up in a bar. ...i waited for the 20th one. :-)

Part of the rumors I heard was that a lot of gays were voting FOR prop 8 because they themselves don't want marriage to be legal for them, as it may cause them to feel pressured by their more pro-marriage partners. I know it sounds crazy, but you never know.

Bunny Rabbit, yes, sure I believe that gay people voted to eliminate rights for gay people. That peer pressure to get married is JUST TOO DAMN MUCH.
Bullshit.
I wish we could REVOTE!
I voted no... But I will say it was cornfusing if you didn't KNOW what you were going to vote for when you went in

Come on, other than Courtney Love, everyone knew that voting yes meant banning gay marriage. The whole damn thing barely had one sentence to it (seriously, all it had was "only marriage between a man and woman is valid or recognized in California," nothing else) while the other props were pages upon pages of fine print. Yeah, I'm one of the dorks that read the sample ballot and election guide that came in the mail. If you are sober and literate, there was nothing confusing about it. Heaven knows there were enough demonstrations and yellow banners with the bathroom sign man and woman on it to know what voting yes meant.
People are under the impression that California is some haven of forward thinking liberal minded people, and it's not. Other than San Francisco, and West Hollywood, you have quite a lot of church going, so-called "traditional value" people. A huge Catholic population, a huge Mormon population, a huge Rick Warren/evangelical following, a huge Crystal Cathedral group, Orthodox Jews (whose national union supported the ban on gay marriage) etc. Other than the presidency and senatorships, many elected officials are Republicans or middle of the road Democrats. Everyone is always huffing and puffing here on Dlisted that they can't believe it passed. As a native and resident Californian, I would have been extremely surprised if it had failed this time around. Give it about 15-20 years and then the outcome will be different.
Part of the rumors I heard was that a lot of gays were voting FOR prop 8 because they themselves don't want marriage to be legal for them, as it may cause them to feel pressured by their more pro-marriage partners. I know it sounds crazy, but you never know.

She is so beautiful and charming. She is my favorite. Just saw her on the millionaire & celebrity dating club^^^^^^MillionaireLoving. C O M^^ ^^^^last week. I am wondering what kind of relationship she is looking for on that
site.Is she single now?
Is it me or does she look like one of the Trollsens?
Friggin simple minded people. Like making laws against being gay will actually STOP people from being gay. The feel the need to do whatever they can to keep the 'freak' label on gays, and for what? To prove that they're NOT gay?
As a straight guy, I say to gay men...be who you are. If I were single, I'd say for every gay guy there's one more available girl out there for me. As far as gay women, well who can blame you, women's bodies are beautiful...

I AM PISSED OFF!!!!
First off, I'm angry at the prop writers who set out to fool voters (mission accomplished.
Second, I'm angry with the narrow-minded little people who purposely voted for it. (If they're so puritanical, you'd think they'd prefer married monogamy over the supposed promiscuity they think all same sex couples are into. Idiots.)
Third, I am really angry at Courtney Love and sound-byte followers like her. You asshats run around, subjecting us to your pseudo-political spew when you clearly can't even take a minute to read and understand what the f it is you're promoting! Stick to making bad music and quit talking. Nobody wants to hear you.
Assholes. I have to live in this state. Thanks for making us all look stupid.
can someone translate her entry to english, please?
@KD,
I don't have a sphinx but I would love to have one! They is so ugly they is cute...much like myself and sharpeis! I would think they would be a great pet for someone with allergies. People often get poodles too because their hair is more like human. I guess it is the dander issue. Google Sphinx kitties nurseries to see pictures and call to ask about the allergy thing.

OT: Courtney and Ashley Olsen have a older/younger look going on...

OK. after picking through that mess I'd like to say that I agree..? Maybe...?
From way over here, I was very confused about whether we were voting FOR Prop 8 or AGAINST it. I just think gays should be allowed to marry.
I get it now but it WAS confusing.

Wow, Court is confused. Let's alert the media. Maybe we can all pitch in and help her find Kurt's lost inheritance. Or her sanity. Whatever is easier.
This reminds me of a an e-mail that was making the rounds about how as long as the first two letter of a word are correct.. people ingore the rest and you can read the sentence just fine.. errors and all..
I would love to have just one hit of whatever this skeeze is on.
DEBfromhell- do you have a hairless cat or is that just a pic you found? I am allergic to cats and wonder if i would be allergic to one of them.
Poor Francis Bean. 'Fraid she's doomed.
It still boggles my mind that she and Ed Norton were engaged at one time. He must have been on some heavy drugs.
I say we just make that shit legal across the board and those who dont like gay marriage just will not be invited to the recpetion and they can eat a shit pie after church!
See ya cant vote on shit like that.
Equal is Equal Dumb, Ugly, Gay, Smart, Pretty.
We should all have the same rights.

We had something similar in KY about 8 years back. I think the purposely worded it to fail. It was confusing, & there were lots of people asking the poll workers how they should vote. The poll workers were just as confused. It was a mess.
-----------------------------------------------
Yeah, it was the same mess, and I bet it was started by the same people.
I lived in KY a few years back, and I was just flabbergasted that this mess even started, however, the damn community I lived in was all for it...even had those stupid signs on the lawns, you know, the "It's not Adam and Steve, it's Adam and EVE" BS.
The wording basically is-do you want to have marriage defined as being between a man and a woman only....
and I bet they made it confusing on purpose....however, from what I'm reading about this Courtney, I don't think it would take much to confuse her.
Her post was TOO funny!
