HoHan Say What?
Above is a little clip of HoHan looking like a 50-year-old methadone clinic reject during an interview with Maria Menounos on Access Hollywood tonight. I played the first part at least a hundred times. As someone pointed out on ONTD, it kind of sounds like HoHan mumbled, "it's our first colored president." I blame the trash teachings of White Oprah.
Play it for yourself. I tried to figure out what else she could be saying, but nothing came up.
This fuckery reminds of some dude who recently said to me, "You're part Oriental, right?" I felt like saying, "Yeah, my dad is. He's really a nice rug. You should visit him sometime. He's currently for sale in the clearance section at fucking Bombay Company."

Heh. Once I got lost in New Jersey and pulled into a fast food parking lot. I asked a guy for directions. He went and got his GPS thingy and was very helpful but this old couple came out of the fast food place and the old lady walked right up to my car, pointed out my license plate and said "he's from DC." and walked to her car.

My grandma used to say "darkie" too. Which is weird since my mother isn't white, but my dad was all white so we had some interesting times. My father's family was convinced he was hell bound. People always assume I'm Mexican which is to be expected, but one oh so smooth talker did call me a "high yella house n-" once. Good times.

Coloured isn't offensive, but it is somewhat outdated. However this descriptive word makes more sense than calling a man who, the last time I checked had a white mother and an African American father, black.

Sorry, not a good argument for someone her age. I was born in 1963 and, since I was even aware of race relations, knew the term 'colored' was not a term that was to be used when referring to a black person. There would be NO expectations, imo, for someone of her age to use that term.
I was lucky to grow up in a family of no racism, but my sister married into a family with racism. I was always invited to my sisters in-laws house for desert after Christmas dinner. I never lasted very long because I wouldn't sit still and listen to the constant references to 'spooks', 'jigaboo's' and 'moolinyans'. I got up and left. I am happy to know that I can sit there proudly this year knowing that they are now the minority in this country. And I will let them know that too.

This reminds me of something that happened to me a couple of years ago. I was with my girlfriend, who is black, and she left her baby with me while she tried on clothes. An older woman who is a friend of my mom (whole 'nother story) saw me and exclaimed, "What a cute little pickaninney!"
