Oh, aha, I don't think it had anything to do with what we look like. There was one funny part. He told us that mature men do better because there's a lot of young guys and it took all I had not to laugh at that. I'm still laughing. He called the boy an old whore basically. If you're gonna skeeve me out at least make me laugh to soften the blow.

@deedee:fans have spoken out about their love of lafayette, so i hope alan ball and gaing gets the memo...and i'm not the biggest fan of bill , but as long as bill continues to wear his pants very tight, i'm all in...;)he was especially hot at that inquisition....

The big problem opponents seem to have is the word marriage. If we can just call gay marriage civil union and give them them the same exact rights as a marriage I don't see what the problem is.

Ok, sluts, I stopped by home to change clothes and I had to tell you that we met some dude who, apparently, puts himself on xtube. He asked if we wanted to make a movie for him and I was like oh you are horrifying with clothes on so no thank you. I agree that people take religous texts out of context and I do believe they do this with the Bible. They did this so much with the Quran in recent years too.

But, you said there is no condemnation of homosexuality in the Old or New Testaments. Please don't think I'm being condescending or saying that Christianity is not a peaceful religion, but I found this in the Old Testament, Leviticus.

20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.

The way I look at it is that all of the major religions were developed in ancient society. Wouldn't their teachings be expected to reflect somewhat archaic beliefs?

All this talk about Jesus...Some part of me still feels blasphemous for saying it, but the story of Jesus (not including his ideas) was taken from earlier religions/mythologies.

The birth, death, and resurrection are all featured in prior figures. Take into account that birth from a virgin, crucifiction, and resurrection are often featured all within the same story.

The similarities between the Hindu Krishna story- the 3 wisemen, virgin birth, crucifiction, both descended into Hell and raised the dead, and much MORE.

Mithra- birth, 12 followers, both resurrected 3 days after death.

Horus from Egyptian myths - virgin birth, resurrection of "Azura"(aka Lazarus).

Most Egyptian deities had their births celebrated on December 25th.

No record of Jesus at all either. Don't we all just know that Peace and Love is spirtual and nothing else? Do we need a bedtime story to go along with it?

Yeah, I can see that. I'm not a Christian, but Jesus studying religion and philosophy makes sense, given his rebel nature and Jewish roots. I was brought up a Christian, by the way, just never was a strong believer, and consider myself an atheist (for lack of a more definative term) today.
In his day, I wouldn't be surprised either way if Jesus had a positive or negative attitude on homosexuality, BUT his lack of any real diaglogue on the matter makes me think (assuming he existed now) that he was either neutral on the matter (believing it didn't spirituatlly matter) or perhaps engaged, either experimentally, as a bisexual man or as a homosexual...I believe firmly if the historical Jesus (assuming he existed) were alive today, he would be STRONGLY in favor of gay marriage.
